Traditional market.
It cannot be denied that the stigma regarding traditional markets is not something we can be proud of.
Dirty. Stink. Overcrowded with people.
These words are a general description that cannot be separated from traditional markets.
Ironically, traditional markets play a big role for Indonesia.
The contribution of traditional markets in GDP reaches 7%.
In addition, more than 70% of the basic foodstuffs used and consumed by the community are obtained from traditional markets.
It is not surprising that the development of the number of traditional markets in the last few years has reached 25%.
However. Quantity does not go hand in hand with quality.
85% of the total traditional markets are markets that are not suitable for use. The island of Java itself, which is considered the center of activity in Indonesia, also has a bad record. 75% of the market here is in the market which is not suitable for use. Therefore, traditional market redesign is needed.
