For how long can I store the tannic acid solution to use it again? Or is it necessary to be fresh tannic acid every time I need to tone a cyanotype? Thanks for the amazing videos!
Hi, at 12:15 you say to use the Y + C negative; do you mean Y + M? In the previous video you made 2 negs, the first C, the second yellow + magenta, unless I am confused as usual. Thank you.
@@matthewbary1 thank you! This is new to me and so far your tutorials are the best I’ve found, I’ve been experimenting to enhance my cyanotype practice trying to learn the duo tone process. Thanks again.
If I apply a solution of water and glue after the tannic acid toned layer , could it help to prevent the chemical interaction between that layer and the next?
Marvellous thank you for these videos
Glad you like them!

I would suggest only using it one day as even throughout the day it darkens and starts to take longer to tone

It is the yellow + magenta. The cyan stays separate and the yellow and magenta are combined for this process. Sorry for the confusion

If you applied a layer of gelatin maybe. Glue might prevent the emulsion from sticking to the paper but gelatin would give it a surface to hold on to
Is it because ingredient A has become diluted? This causes the need to be exposed to light for up to 65 minutes.
No, that was related to how densely I printed the negative and the light source. My bigger exposure unit is only 15 minutes
@@matthewbary1 Thank you
