Didn't have velvet yarn so I tried with a simple pinkish acrylic one just to practice and it turned out lovely, even though you can see the stitches but it created a wonderful pattern! Thank you for the inspiration!!!
I love scrunchies! I love to see them on my hair and on my little girl hair! I've made some knitted ones, but I'm pretty sure I want to try to make those crochet ones! thank you so much for the tutorial Sarah!
Love this Scrunchie tutorial. I love all you tutorials Bonnie there all easy to go by. Thank you Bonnie coco for all your Tutoriaks. I hope you'll have more in the future. 💜
Fabulous!! Just what I needed for my Christmas pressie list!! Needed something for two little girls and a set each of these will be just the job! Thank you xx
My girls are going to love these (I will have to wait for my hair to grow back after its lockdown adventure with clippers lol). So easy to do, a very zen thing to do too as it was the same process repeated over and over. Thank you!
Wow, super easy! I've been needing something more gentle for my wavy hair at night but wasn't so enthused about spending $ on scrunchie . I have plenty of elastics and yarn already!
I’m a newbie, but I love your channel and I’m definitely gonna try this out for stocking stuffers! I’m thinking by December I’ll have plenty of time to practice. :)
Are you a mind-reader Sarah-Jayne? I noticed my collection of scrunchies was looking decidedly tatty and I was planning on sewing new ones... but NO! this is SO much nicer :-)
Loved the tutorial! It was super helpful and it got easy once you got the hang of it. I had a question about one part of the video that I didn't understand: at 4:28 when you cut the string of your yarn, the crochet hook is still through the yarn loop, but at 4:29 when you start to sow in the ends, the hook and the last loop are no longer visible. How did you tie in the last loop so that it didn't come undone? Thank you!
Thank you, I'm happy you like the tutorial 😊 I'm sorry this part isn't very clear in the video - all I do is use my hook to pull the yarn up and through the loop once it has been cut. You can then sew it in 😊
You can follow this pattern using whichever yarn you like, but for a thinner yarn you would need to increase the number of stitches 😊 The written instructions are available on my blog here: bellacococrochet.com/crochet-scrunchie-free-pattern/
UK and US have different terminology for the same stitch, if you go to my blog at bellacococroche.com you will find the conversion chart which maybe of help to you :)
