      @@ashleyalbiter - if you haven’t already found a solution then I hope this comment will help you. You could just do it by hand but that will be tricky so I don’t recommend that. You could also use a Bobby pin, tie the remaining yarn onto it and weave it in like that. But I recommend using a needle whether it be plastic or regular metal because it is much more easier and will save time, if you are looking to buy one - get the ones which have a big eye or get the sail needles/upholstery needles (also the knitting needles but the tiny ones).

    I subbed the hair elastic for a smaller clothes elastic from my sewing kit. I hat the hair elastic cuz I get two uses and the snap idk if it's brand or what but I've never had luck with them. I noticed a lot of my scrunchies use a sewers elastic anyway. Just cut to size and sew into a band and reinforce and your good to go. ❤️

    • @abbiiQ
      @abbiiQ 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was really wanting to make this but I wasn't sure about the hair tie because I have the same problem with them always snapping because i have very thick hair! I tried the clothes elastic like you mentioned in your comment and it works great 👍 I would've never even thought of it without seeing your comment tho so thank you for that brilliant idea!

    • @Abbi_Lovely
      @Abbi_Lovely หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s because the hair elastics are really just rubber bands wrapped in thread. The Rubber stretches and breaks down and is more affected by temperature than an actual elastic band.

    • @marsbar333
      @marsbar333 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know I'm super late to this and I could be wrong about why this is, but my guess is because you have to slip stitch & do 2 chains to start each row. If you crochet around continuously the rows wont be straight

    Hello! I've done a couple of these scrunchies and they look great, though I've noticed that my seam where I slip stitch and chain moves over every row. It creates a diagonal seam around and around the scrunchie! Kind of cool, but is there a mistake I'm making that's causing this? I'll try slip stitching into the first HDC instead of chain.
