Elliot Lake isn't just a "city in the forest." It really is "a jewel in the wilderness." Although I've moved away, it will always be my home. I am so fortunate to call myself an Elliot Laker.
Theses are my absolute favorite segments that dirt trax does. I've been doing the same thing for years with my family and now everyone is riding their own machines. These are the memories that everyone will remember. Keep making these segments, it doesn't matter what machine you have or if it's the latest greatest just getting out and enjoying places like these is what it's all about.
Been camping and riding in Elliot lake ever I was lil used to be able to leave from my grand father house right onto the main trail, it is a beautiful town
I am glad you guys came back up. Hopefully next time I will be able to ride with you. There are absolutely some beautiful trails here. Tons on the map and even more that aren't. Glad you enjoyed the trip!
Excellent video Great to see you out with your family . I've been watching this show for a very long time and saw the times when your folks were out on the sleds . I miss your dad's reviews actually. This is a family show, program, activity and business
Be prepared for the true Northern Canadian Shield experience. This used to be a mining community, so there's continuous rocky terrain throughout the trail system. Plenty of Loose rocky inclines and down hills, plenty of large rocks you'll want to try to dodge, with some gravel roads. Several Scenic spots throughout the trail network.
Well. We just got back from Mattawa this past weekend. Based on your video and your recommendation. Now it looks like we have another trip to Canada to plan.
Just went to Elliot Lake for Labor Day weekend to ride the trails after watching this video. We won't be going back after riding this trail system for 2 days, disappointed by all the hype I've heard. Trails are full of rocks and bolders throughout. You're constantly banging off rocks, dodging rocks, eventually the ride isn't enjoyable anymore riding these old access trails/roads. To each their own, not my type of off-road trails but it's great to get out and explore the area, it's beautiful but be prepared for a rough ride that some might consider a challenging or annoying. My front shocks didn't hold up to the task after day 2, time to upgrade, but Still was worth the experience.
@dirttraxtv Thank you for your perception. Can we all agree that Power Sports lovers, enjoy the experience of getting out in nature and exploring? Even a bad day riding is still better then a day at the office or sitting on the couch. Thanks for your video, I enjoyed watching it.

Looks like you were on Esten Lake. I'm surprised you didn't see a boat on that lake. Usually the boat launch is packed with vehicles.
Excellent video

Didn't enjoy it, but enjoyed it. Wouldn't recommend it, but recommend it...
@dirttraxtv I wrote a honest comment of the our experience there, take it as you wish.
Appreciate you taking the time to comment. It was just a bit contradictory to itself in parts.

Fortunately this experience is common in most Utah towns. Riding in/out of town that is. The greenery and water, not so much. 😅
Virtually all of Northern Michigan is ORV friendly with lots of trail systems.
Are the marked ATV trails strictly ATV? My Bronco wants to know 😊
I live in Elliot Lake and my Canyon AT4 wants to know this also. I need to take it off the pavement more.
wish I was out ridding that day lol cost of living killing me not riding as much as I like but we do have some of the best trails around
