Excellent Kris. Lovely reflection of Tangmere in the canal. If you close your eyes you would think a 37 was running not the Thumper! Well you know me and steam in the dark. Smashing sound from Brittania. All the best ...Tim.
Hiya Kristian, Lovely shots of a smokey Tangmere and a wonderful night shot of Britannia working hard at Pewsey and making a great sound. Loved the efforts of the guy standing on the Up Platform trying to get the driver to whistle. I've been told they must cut down the whistling at night as some railway neighbours have complained. Barry
Thank you Tim =) Could almost be top and tailed 37s with that sound =P I think the shot of Britannia was the best of the lot from yesterday's filming, was really pleased with it =)
Thanks very much Sam =) It's not that it was a bad shot, just wanted Tangmere on her own with no modern(ish) interference if you get my meaning. Was great seeing the Thumper again although I'm still surprised there was no one else at Sapperton for it. 'Tis a shame we didn't get a whistle off the Brit, even though there is a whistle board there. But just that noise alone was good enough =)
Thank you very much Hugh =) I get what you mean, it is nice to have the old crossing over with the new, although in the case of the HST it's new-ish =P Was just hoping for a shot of steam racing through the countryside without any modern interference =)
Lovely video, Was waiting for this!!! I think the crofton shot is fine, the HST doesn't do much damage in my opinion. At least you weren't bowled! Excellent horns from the thumper and it sounded amazing climbing sapperton, almost like a 37 like already suggested! (I reckon 37s should do a tour up there!). Lovely sound from Britannia at Pewsey, although no whistle is suprising. Maybe too late?
Great vid - loved all the shots but the sound track was fantastic at 3:30 on. From your point of view I can see it must have been annoying to have the HST in the first shot, but from my perspective I thought it was good. I like watching "preserved" steam on the modern railway - it's a fascinating stage of history we are going through preserving the old... perhaps it gives us a sense of stability in a fast changing world. We need the change, but also love the stability……Hᴜɢʜ….TU…..ツ
Excellent video Kris, like the 1st shot with the reflection in the water & the growling for the 1001 engines sounded great in your 2nd shot We uploaded our vid of The Mayflower & Royal Duchy (C&A) *****

Thanks very much mate =) Yeah Crofton is a fantastic spot indeed and a very popular one too.

Great video, I love the fantastic opening shot - what a location! Brilliant!
I nearly missed the train at the start by watching that cute dog running about! I'm tweeting your video @UKSteamTrains. Cheers! Albert.
