Great video. I swapped to VSCode for the remote extension. The ease of having a single IDE for both local and remote environments makes it a top choice.
IMO, the best feature Vscode has is auto sync. I regularly change os and setting up coding environments was a tedious tasks until I knew about syncing dev environments. I just need to install and sync, and I have all my settings. Happy coding!
This is excellent. I'm so tired of seeing (for instance) Live Server as an important vsc tip (that's just a tip good for your first hour in vsc). This video contains many relatively hidden solutions. And very clear presentation.
Please make a video on how to use the debugger in vs code like step into, step out etc . If you could give some examples using code( recursive code, code using Dsa ,stl etc ) , it would be very helpful.
TYSM I had a lot of troubles finding the shortcuts in linux, now that I have the names I can just change them if I feel like it~ I'd to add the nextPage & end to the combos
I don’t understand why I should have to remember them. I only have so much room in my brain for these dumb things. Wish he showed the place where you can find them.
Oh wonderful. I just switched to vscode from pycharm so the timing of this vid couldn't have been better. Only just worked out how to increase the indent on the file explorer - one of my bugbears with vscode is fixed! :) I need to get to grips with running multiple terminals and direct ssh. Anyway, slowly getting there.
Can you please make a video on how to setup a github account and how to use vs code to make repositories and commit changes in 2023? I used to have a github account but more than a year ago some policies changed and I was not allowed to access my repositories anymore and couldn't commit any changes...
Hm... did anyone else notice the typo in the intro? I'm pretty sure he said "Global" but the screen said "Gobal". I could be wrong and might've misread I just want to make sure I'm not going insane lol 0:20
Bro, your channel is messing up my flow, how didn't i find your channel a year ago lol, guess I wouldn't of known what im looking for a year ago I guess, im taking full advantage of your channel. Thank you.

This video came in just when I was looking to get into VSCode

For the command palatte instead ctrl+shift+p you can use f1 key
alt+f4 also works, you just need to have unsaved work for it to work

Good idea!
What keyboard do you use Tim?
Do any of these cross over to visual studio
how to move curcor right and left and up and down and to other lines quickly. Can you show your shortcuts :) many thanks.
17:10 how do you enable the green lines next to the foreground that’s highlights the block of code from line 12 to line 15? Thank you 🙏🏽.
Month late, but I beleive that has to do with the git integration.
They are lines he has added since the last git commit.

Not me being extremely confused thinking that vs and vs code were the same thing
Music is on nerves
I’m disliking this video!, where is the extension that grows beard?
Wow you are getting older
