Omg, I've been gone from youtube all summer and I come back to find your videos have only grown in their quality. Your work process is inspiring and congrats on your internship!
Congratulations . One thing I would like to emphasis as someone who has been working since third year of school . 2 page portfolios, often we see that applications want 3mb or less. A 2 page portfolio of your strongest work and great resume can be the entry into most jobs . 90% of my interviews where only using a two page portfolio. Then I would bring copies of full portfolio for them to keep . Architects like physical tangible things. In these era of digital it will make people stand out .
Congratulations!!! From someone who is about to finish their first internship I can say I was really nervous but don't be afraid to dive right in and ask as many questions as you can! I was a Rhino focused designer but because I asked and was curious enough i got to use so many other programs I was way too intimidated to use!
Thank you so much, my friend :) I understand what you mean and I am in my second week and I am loving it now and so excited to be working on real projects.
Congratulations, you always had it in you. You deserve every good things, with the talent, perseverane, and the dedication you have. You really amaze me, with the lengths that you do to accomplish a task. Your fire burns so bright. Keep on burning! Keep on enlightening people in the dark.
Congrats!! I've only been following your channel for a few months and have been impressed with your work/tutorials. You are more than qualified for an internship, you have a great foundation of skills and concepts, the internship will give you exposure and experience to the field, you're on your way to a great career!
Congratulations! You’re such an inspiration, please keep going with this channel. It’s really nice to see the creative process of an architectural project and how to present it after all.
Congratulations! It is very well deserved. Thank you for your videos btw. I’m still in highschool and this channel has given me insight on so many things about Architecture. Hope you’re doing well.
i really love u you helped me sooo much in my architectural education.. now im at the end of it and i wish i met you before.. you deserve the best! YOU GO GIRL!
u r good at teaching, information/technique is clear and on point, teaching speed and explanation also perfect. Please keep going and I believe you will be an expert on Archi teaching. BTW, congrats on your new job.
This video is amazing... Congratulations on getting your new job.. The portfolio is amazing. The contextual aspect of the drawings is what really makes you feel the passion and inspiration. You are so talented. I am sure that this employer is delighted to see what you have in store for their projects. :) I just love the hand sketches. Yes... please do videos on this.. I am sure that your audience will also be intrigued as I am in seeing more of your work. Thanks for the comprehensive list of the products that you use.. This is great to see and to purchase because you can see firsthand what they can do in action. One thing that I did not see on the list was the video editing software. Since your videos are done extremely well it is a great testament to your mastery of the software. Having that link will also generate your subscribers to purchase this software. Once again, thanks for sharing such a comprehensive video. Excellent Job!!!
Thank you very much. I sure will do more videos on hand sketching. When you do a CV and Resume you only put things that you think will help you get a job to that firm. This is why you should be changing your CV to fit each firm as they all have different views on designing. This is why I have not added it in my CV. I have my channel in the portfolio and when I explain over my portfolio I will be explaining in more detail the experience I gained from going TH-cam. Thank you for watching and commenting :)
I'm also applying for internships and this helped quite a bit on the portfolio. One thing I didn't understand, though. If the "hangar project" is your strongest one, why not having it as your opening project on the portfolio? Sometimes the employers don't see it all. So the first one is all you've got.
I know what you mean but you need to always put your latest work first. This is because it shows your development throughout your career. I hope this made you understand. Thank you for watching and commenting :)
I'm having my first interview in a few hours... Super nervous, watching videos on how people present their portfolio on TH-cam now. Thanks for the showcase, great work
Congratulations on the various achievements you're getting!!🎉🎉👏 It's great!! The cv workshop you mentioned last sounds interesting I would love to know more about it 😊 it's a new exciting chapter for you, wish you the best!
Same! I also have my first internship that begins this september. But your portfolio is way more neat than mine. Mabye next time I will give mine a little bit more shape next time. Keep up tje good work!
Nice !... Congratulations !!... Good luck with your internship. Nice portfolio- I like the fact that u left so much empty space in the context of the page. "Keep it simple".
Congratulations on the job! And thank you for this video! Literally have to start on my portfolio tomorrow. Your portfolio videos are incredibly helpful. So, thank you!
Well done for the portfolio! I am going to leave my own experience of creating a square portfolio. I did the exact portfolio size (300x300), however, I find it a little bit expensive to print as a booklet. I am paying the price of A2 for a 300x300 portfolio. Most of the printing shop will try their best to print it for you. If you are unlucky, they won't want to help and you'll need to find another shop or redo with international paper size. A square is not an international paper size, so they will have to cut it into a square for you. You don't want this to happen when you are short of time (submission, interview, etc) I prefer InDesign when compiling a portfolio. It's very easy and efficient and booklet-friendly. If you are planning to reuse a square portfolio to apply to MArch programs, you'll probably end up making a new one. Because the school mostly will ask for an A4 portrait/landscape. Lastly, it is true that a basic square is the easiest to layout. I love to do square too lol I hope someone will find this useful when deciding on the size :D

Can you please do some videos on how to render elevations, sections and 3d views on photoshop and how we can generate good perspective views. @@SurvivingArchitecture That's what I thought in 1980 but it isn't true. 100 hour weeks were the norm for me the first 5 years. First one in and the last one out. I was proud of that. All night? Hey everyone, I’m currently trying to find out how one could make the lives of architects a lot easier and it fits the topic of this video about getting a job. Which is why I have two very simple questions: 1. As architect trying to find your dream job, what are the 2 biggest issues you’re dealing with? 2. Regarding finding a job as an architect, what would you wish for more than anything else? What do you think? Thanks so much in advance - looking forward to reading your answers!

So for the drawings, you don’t have to put scales on (eg 1:50) to show that you can?
What are you on about
No you do not have to you can always say that you can possibly bring a copy of the original or what you can do is add a graphic scale if you really want to. Thank you for watching and commenting.

Hey everyone, I’m currently trying to find out how one could make the lives of architects a lot easier and it fits the topic of this video about getting a job. Which is why I have two very simple questions:
1. As architect trying to find your dream job, what are the 2 biggest issues you’re dealing with?
2. Regarding finding a job as an architect, what would you wish for more than anything else?
What do you think? Thanks so much in advance - looking forward to reading your answers!
