After 5 days, I love my s22i. I-fit is a great motivator. The thing that pushes me is the leader board. I want to be on top! Creating your own route is fun. Last night I rode through my childhood hometown. A real blast. I picked the NT because of the scenic rides, price, availability, and incline/decline function.
Taking delivery of the new s22i today! So excited. Your reviews have helped me decide to go with NT over others. The new x22i will be coming at the end of the month as well. :) Thanks for the awesome videos!
are the live classes like Peloton? where the instructors choose the music and we all ride along? Also one thing you didn't mention is build quality. That monitor looked pretty shakey in some shots?
This review just convinced me to get the S22i. Not a huge fan of a huge screen. The Peloton Bike isn’t even more than 23 inches, so I figured, it’s probably more comparative. The only reason why I wanted to get this aside from the Peloton is because of the incline/decline function. And I already have the 2450 treadmill (which I LOVE). I can’t wait to get this! Oh, and I also decided to get the S22i because I like the dumbbells to be at my front. I’ve had too many instances where I reach behind me and pull my back. Plus I like having two water bottle options like you do. It was really a no brainer. Not to mention, you’ll be right on top of the screen when doing the workouts, so the size doesn’t really matter in that case. Just glad they moved the speakers from the back to the front.
Great review. Do you know if the older S22 firmware can be updated so you can enjoy the auto adjust that you mentioned that is now available with the new S27. Seems like a game changer that I’d like to have.
The 22 bottle holders get in the way when you stand up, you hit your knees on them. Also the 22 does not have a phone holder, those are dumbell holders at the front. The On Off switch was always there.
Nice review, I'm so excited my S27I arriving soon. Glad I made the right choice, maybe you mentioned this but I may have missed it. Did you find the S27I more stable than the S22I? I've heard the S22I can rattle and shake screen pretty good if pushing hard or standing.
nice, no I found both bikes to be equally stable. Really stable in fact. These suckers are 200+lbs each.. almost 50lbs heavier than comparable bikes.. they stay in place real well.
Would I be right in saying that they still suffer with the freezing/stuttering video problem since that seems to be the case during a few of your shots of the screen.
There are a lot of used previous model S22i models around me on marketplace and offer up. Would you go with a previous model if you can save $300+ or do you think the "upgrades" are worth the price difference?
I would buy the previous model for $300 off... but if used, the worry is not having a warranty. Amazon is actually still selling last year's S22i for $1,499 ($400 off) here: amzn.to/3NmZEQT so that is what I would recommend!
Amazon had a black Friday and cyber Monday deal for the NTEX02121 ...This is the updated S22i 2021 model which worked out a lot of issues the first 2021 model had. $899! Very nice deal, as this is 40% off. If you have Prime, then free delivery. $89 for setup by a local tech contractor with Amazon. Great deal!
Just had the S27i delivered today. Is it normal to have so much play, wiggle in the handlebar? I’m coming from Peloton, which had absolutely no movement.
I would make sure to tighten all of the bolts really well. Especially the big one which holds the screen onto the bike. I put it together and didn’t have this issue so hopefully that is what the issue for you
@@ConnectTheWatts thanks for your immediate reply. I tried both holes. There's 2 one on each sides of display brightness sensor. Left one looks empty and the clip goes all the way back until it touches what feels like the back frame of the display housing. The right one doesn't move at all, looks like a rubber thing but I used both a paperclip and sim card eject pin. Nothing works at least for me or maybe I'm not pressing hard enough but I'm afraid to break it. It just doesn't have the usual give those reset buttons have. Any other suggestions?

Nice! The new Design of the X22i looks awesome… so much better than before!

Ifit doesn’t do live classes anymore. The classes they have just play radio it’s not music based

He didn't talk about the inherent wobble caused by the heavy screen. It makes visibility of the scene quite difficult.
I think I’ll just go with the s22i. The newer bike doesn’t seem worth 2.6k for just some minor changes
Great video & review. Buying the S27i soon!
How is the inclining motor sound compared to 2021 version?

yes I believe that Smart Adjust is updated for all NordicTrack devices.
@@ConnectTheWatts I actually called and they confirmed older 22s got that upgrade. Thanks again
Wow! Great content and really helped me figure out which bike to get.

I was concerned about that, but it really isn't a problem, and the small amount of movement is the same as Peleton.
Buying the S27i. Thanks for the great review! Its very helpful!
Hope you enjoy it!
Awesome review. Thank you!!
Is the auto adjust feature available to install on the older s15 (2021) model bike??I don’t really want or like such a big screen.
Thanks for the good review think I will go with the s22i as the s27i is not available in the UK as of yet
is screen responsiveness better on the s27 compared to the s22 2022 or the same?
Would I be right in saying that they still suffer with the freezing/stuttering video problem since that seems to be the case during a few of your shots of the screen.
Depends on the Internet. For some reason I get that occasionally at the gym (where I filmed this) but at my house I never have that issue 🤷
I want to go w the s22i but don't want it to be internet/subscription dependent can you ride this bike in manual mode?? Where you just pedal and go??
yes there is a manual mode that does not require the internet you can continue to use should you freeze or cancel your iFIT membership

@@ConnectTheWatts we actually have a local liquidator here in AZ that has the 2022 for $1399 and the 2021 for $999 right now!

Yea, that was it. Delivery team hadn’t tightened bolts down. Did a complete once over and all good, thanks! This screen is massive!
This wobbling is normal, right? Makes me paranoid not going to lie! The console
I need to factory reset my S27i have you figured out how to do that by any chance?
there should be a small hole you can fit a safety pin on the screen to reset it (I think it might be on the top of the screen)

Is the 2022 version of the S22i a worthy upgrade from the 2021 model?
It’s a bit better but not worth an upgrade if you already have the 2021 model
Would you recommend the s221 (2022) over the s221 (2021)?
if they were the same price yes... but if you can save $200+ or more on a 2021 model, I would probably go with that.
Thank you!
