I’m so blessed that I’m doing good in life now that I get to go back it my home country twice a year! I’m heading home in 2 weeks for Lunar New Year and my 1 year anniversary LDR with a girl I met over there. This video really boost my excitement up!
Sesame paste is very healthy, and it can make your teeth cuter, haha! Vietnamese bread sandwiches are actually baguettes with vegetables and meat added, and they are rich in ingredients! The fifth bean paste feels very suitable for winter. After eating it, the body should feel warm. I am interested in trying it! The final barbecue is like an upgraded version of satay, with rice wrappers and lettuce added to increase the taste and nutrition. What a smart way to eat! The river in Hội An becomes so beautiful and romantic at night. I like that atmosphere! You did a really super great job, thanks a lot for sharing this wonderful video tonight! I wish you a happy Christmas holiday and a great coming year! 👍🎅🙌❤🎁🎄🎉
Brilliant Luke! Fantastic presentation of magical Hoi An. I was lucky enough to work in Vietnam for a few years, Hoi An was my favourite place. To see the amazing food, the beautiful Vietnamese people with their smiles and of course the tiny red stools brought back many fond memories. A lovely Xmas gift. Cheers Luke. Lots of love from Melbourne, Australia. X
Just got back from Hoi An.. two of the best places for their famous for their Bangh Mi is Bangh Mi Phoung and madam Khanh. One is like 1.20 USD a sandwich and the over is like 1.35 USD a sandwich. Either way, your is dollar goes a long way in Vietnam. Amazing…
Another awesome vlog! I'm heading to Vietnam in February '24 so great timing! I can't wait to try a bunch of the same street food. Everything looks amazing!
Mmmm, the food looks amazing! I'm so jealous. I'd love to visit Hoi An. I've visited Hanoi but the people were really rude, they were a lot friendlier in Sapa, Hue and Ho Chi Minh
Luke I absolutely agree .. the problem is they don't get all the rubbish out of the water .. pollution at its worst .. I ❤️ Hoi an , but they need to not do the floating lanterns.. the boats look beautiful .. that's enough 🌺

That first dish was so interesting!! Do you know the ingredients? I love how street food in other countries is often served in handmade bowls and plates! So pretty 🤍
Thank you friend Luke for the new episode about the delicious street food in Hoi-An, Vietnam with the Thai companion. Nice place to share the traditions of eating on the street, like in Thailand. By the way, I wish you many congratulations from Puerto Rico during these Christmas holidays and the celebration of the new year 2024. 🎄🎅
Hội An has 2 famous bánh mì locations. Tourist usually eat bánh mì Phượng, and the locals have bánh mì Lành. The store you ate was a bit expensive than the normal price.
I have to go with the pork ban mi (sp?) and the last meal you had. Did you notice how the split the ends of the chopsticks to hold the pork slices? Never would have thought of that... until now. I really liked your filming in the cloudy/rainy weather. The colours stood out in all of the stalls against the cloudy day. I am wondering if they do celebrate Christmas in communist Vietnam? Maybe we will get to see some video of that in the future? Toronto is going to have a high of 4C over Christmas and the rain is suppose to end today. I'm guessing it will be colder in my old hometown of Bathurst (or as they say in northern N.B. 'Bat-turst') Stay safe and healthy.
Greg you should do more researches about how the Vietnamese people celebrate Xmas here . FYI about 8% of the Vietnamese people are Christians ( mostly Roman Catholics) . The Vietnamese Christians are even more devout than many western countries citizens . I know in the West , today people are being less and less religious than 40-50 years ago . Many churches are closed or transformed into shopping centers or apartment buildings. Pope Francis will be visiting VN in 2024 . VN is a multi-religion country . The freedom of belief is guaranteed by the National Constitution . All religions in the world are welcome and respected in this country . Not like in many other countries in the world , there is no discrimination or hatred between the different confessions in Vietnam . You should make a trip there once to see by your own eyes how free the Vietnamese people are today , instead of staying in your ignorance and keeping your prejudice towards this country .
@@hungcuongnguyen293 Trolls like you are the reason why people stop following TH-cam channels and making comments. I asked Luke, not you, some questions. Calling anyone ignorant and prejudice for asking questions says more about you than anything else. I hope you don't represent who the people of Vietnam really are.
lol don’t mix up the two pronounciation of the words for the black sesame dessert/breakfast and the Thai word that means something else 😂 Vietnam looks so awesome I’ve always wanted to go there and explore the food and culture
$10 would have gotten me a hamburger made with frozen beef patty, a regular fry, but no drinks. I hate you guys :-) Just kidding, thanks for the video and for educating me on how I am getting ripped off living here in the US when it comes to food :-)
I think you forgot to compare their income vs American income . It's cheap because their income is low. It's cheap for travelers but not for local people

A whole day of eating for under $11.00 us. This amount of money is not even enough for a single burger combo in North America. I think that in North America is very over charging their customers.

@unclekumars8246 don't know where you are but Banh Mi phuong was 30k the last time I went there. A stand along the Hoi an river was already 25k. I live 45 mins away from Hoi an and 10k gets you a banh mi with an egg, no meat.
