Got a bit teary eyed watching you head into St. Malo and then the drive to Mont Saint Michel, I was there a few years ago , my family roots are in Saint Malo + or - 200 years ago, brought back good memories of my trip. Thank you.

We went there to the Normandy Beaches Sept and spent 5 days there. We planned to go to Mont Sant Micheal but visiting all the landing beaches and Bayeux, we did not get there. Least it saved us that walk, lol. Great place to visit though, the museums, and cemeteries including the German one, so much to to see. Our trip is on here, very humbling.

I did Spain last year went in October, as I approached the ferry a group of 6 riders on new BMW GS pulled along side me, I kid you not they had more tech than John Lewis, and there was I on my 10 year old 1250 bandit with no helmet cam, no sat nav, no comms, just a roll bag, tank bag, and a good old fashion map.

    Nice video 👌
Had also the possibility to drive there a few weekend before. We had done a tour from switzerland to the normandie and back in 4 days. About 2300 kilometer with some friends and my cbr 600rr. Really beautiful roads and views there, I have to say. We saw the memorial in cean as well, the bunker. It was worth of it 👍

Hello mate. First of all thanks for watching! The video doesnt do Normandy justice...trust me. However all the places we visited were amazing. Enjoy your time there and enjoy the scenery food and riding. My regrets were honfleur. I didn't get to visit. Rouen....great night out!

Hiya Wayne. Thanks for watching. I just knew that France would be easy and a great weekend trip. I also wanted to visit the Normandy beaches. With every trip i do...I give myself a max mileage range of 300 miles a day and then times that by how many days. That gives me a rough idea of route. I then just look at the map and see where I will end up. I then plan roughly where to stay. With France i knew I had to get to Calais by sunday😅

If you're a Band of Brothers fan you need to get to Bastogne. Lovely town with the war museum and Mardasson memorial. Added bonus of some great biking roads just over the border in Luxembourg. did that a couple of years ago on the way to Austria.

I'm looking round for a decent bike to do same kinda stuff but finding it difficult to chose a model without spending a fortune but don't want anything too heavy .
No interested in adventure bikes really there too big ,I'm not a big person.

Had this on my short list for my first foreign trip! I'd love to do Norway or Picos as well! Guess it doesn't matter where just got to get out and ride. Great to see you sticking with the GSXF! You must have added some miles to it? Such a brilliant understated all rounder. I was worried you might be changing it for the Z1000SX?

Your absolutely spot on and I should of edited that bit out. What you didn't see was the rider acting around before that. At the point in the video he squeezes between me and a parked car which due to the wide angle of the camera isn't fully appreciated. I respect all riders but not ones who are a danger to me on the road.
