I love the new music so much Lena Raine has been an amazing addition to Minecraft, not that C418 isn't still great he really set the feel of Minecraft she just expanded upon it.
Full gamma makes everything look very flat. At least make it so you can distinguish fully dark spots from fully lighted spots: still high gamma, but not full gamma.

Nothing is wrong with floating terrain to me. its just part of the minecraft universe. All the lighting (that was needed) used was just part of the lore of the world.
For the floating piece of land at the beginning, I hope it's not serious. This kind of things is what made minecraft magical at the start, until they changed the world generation. Personally I'm glad we're getting it back a little, in a more amazing way. Also, who really wants minecraft to have realistic worlds? I don't get the interest of it.

fabric mod called Physics actually makes it so you can choose how much all of the blocks collapse when mined, it makes interesting difference to Minecraft and quite a challenge.

For my first 1.18 world, I spawned next to a frozen lake in the middle of a Grove. Absolutely stunning. This new world gen is insane and I love it.
