Tarantino is one of the biggest hack filmmakers in the last 50 years. People praise him, but I never cared for his supposed best and most overrated film (pulp fiction), and have never remotely liked any of his others. I realized anything I kind of liked in them is a blatant ripoff of another. I'm not saying he's incompetent, because he clearly knows the formula to make money. I know he's on record saying he steals, but his films in particular are among the laziest and least creative of any major director that borrows/steals as Lynch says. Im glad more people are finally starting to realize this. Jackie Brown is among the worst of his films because he tried to be semi-original and realized he needs to steal ideas to make money. Not to mention the film is awful. It's clear that star power casting can always fool millions of people. He's garbage.
Yea getting a bit sick of tarantino's shopping trolley through the window of every store approach to the wholesale looting of cinema in order to make less good versions of those films. Its not homage. Its a lack of ideas and an obsession with films he has no connection to. And Jackie Brown is the best because its harder to not obviously pilfer from dramas non Americans haven't yet made.
