I've got a little less than two hours left of this walkthrough to watch. I've been watching it for about two weeks now. I just wanted to thank you for capturing this and uploading it. I've played TW3: The Wild Hunt three times, read all the books, watched The Witcher Netflix series, and watched your The Witcher 1 walkthrough. After I finish this, I will have a complete understanding of Geralt and Ciri's saga. So thanks.

Maybe you have, but not "complete". Witcher game series have so many choices so you have to play/watch few times and even then you don't know every aspect. Especially witcher 2 when you can choose Roche or Iorweth side and you have almost full game diffrent then.

i love the atmosphere of Flotsam. In fact i love every first act locations atmosphere in all Witcher games: Outskirts of Wyzima, Flotsam and White Orchard. Those locations have something special...
That opening cut scene is one of the coolest cut scenes in gaming history.
I remember playing it from cover to cover (so to speak) when my computer was barely even able to play it, in 2012. So amazed with its graphics and story-telling awesomeness at the time. Also chasing down the novels that were still in Polish and translated discreetly into English by fans in forums.
I made the huge mistake of playing Witcher 3 first. Now trying to play #2 is just a chore. And I am not even going to try #1.
same, the controls and awkward and navigating the UI is tedious.
Witcher 3 is awesome, probably one of the best games ever made and I loved it. I enjoyed #2 better, though, I think it have better animations during combat and I prefer the camera closer to Geralt when exploring. That's why I'm watching this video right now, I just love even only watching it. The story to me was more intriguing, more Game of Thrones like. The main story in Witcher 3 felt like a chore to me. In the end it's just about tastes, the good thing is both are amazing games we could enjoyed.
@@rickyindio Maybe this is cause of W2 is more american than 1 and 3. In Poland(origin of The WItcher) we generally don't like W2 and some people even hate for this american style. W3 was more slavic and european(I say slavic and european separetly cause slavic things are the most common, but europen cultures have some accents like Wild Hunt or Skellige) and have nothing common with american style. Some people even like most Witcher 1 cause it was very slavic/european, dirty and it stuck to the books the most.
@@GIBI_SZPILORZ I am not american, so no it's not about that. I love all of that style you mention about W3, especially the section where you go to skellige. What I am saying is few technical details in W2 look better than 3, and the story about kings being murdered and political instability vs rescuing Ciri from the Wild Hunt is more interesting to me.
But I think we can all agree that Roblox is better

I've played through Witcher 3 a few times and loved it. That said, I think the sword animations and audio are actually better in this game. Super fluid and the whipping sound of the sword is crisp.
I like the combat and animations of witcher 3 but there way too much unnecessary spinning in that game.
gameplay was probably TW3's weakest point

Witcher 2, World of Warcraft, Dragon Age Origins, Mass Effect and Oblivion are some of my all time favorites.

Great vid! I remember having a great time playing this almost a decade ago. I just wish there were more quests for leveling. It’s such a shame there weren’t enough talents to spend on skills to make Geralt truly a master witcher.

Imagine if they got the writers from these games to write the story for that Netflix mess. Each Witcher, 1, 2, 3 has a different set of strengths and weaknesses, but the stories in all of them are absolutely incredibly GREAT. They know wtf they're doing. I will never understand the random changes those Netflix people did. Like, I can understand changes that help cut budgets, that help dumb it down for a certain audience, and so on. But some changes they made from books to movies, they simply serve no purpose at all. It's like they changed it just to be "original" and say "Look, we don't just copy paste, look at this new thing we came up with!". Too bad. But grateful that we have the games at least :).
What would be even great is if Netflix would just stick to the original book series. I mean it is written right there. Just stick to it
zdnek the fighter. you can find him in witcher 3 where he comes to fight in nivigrad arena, but bandits kills him. you can steal his invitation card and enter the arena with his identity.

WTF. Geralt would've at least listened to what Malena had to explained. Geralt would've also got rid of specter of nilfgardian soldier by fighting it, not by letting those two die.

So I set off the catapult like the person did in 26:00 but didn't work for me, and I did the a pressing quick time event twice, once after killing the soldiers then after they came back. It still had the arrows raining down and dealing me instant death. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, and at this point I'm just at the point of giving up on this pointless endeavor of a game. If anyone has any advice on it, I would be most greatful in hearing it.

One of the best game/rpg ever.. im big j-rpg fan ( FF, Xenogears/saga, Star Ocean, DQ etc... ) but this and the 3th is like much then they.

I completed two TW1 playthroughs and I just started TW2. Idk why but I prefer the first one right now. The inventory was much easier to navigate and attacking was simpler. The gameplay itself is much better, maybe I just need to get used to it.
I've been there.. I started tw2 a week after I finished tw1. After you get adjusted you will definitely prefer it than the tw1

Ah yes the best Witcher indeed. It had no problems of pacing. Just pure good story and gameplay. Potions and preparations before combat had meaning. Combos and attacks had more impact.
Yet still, Witcher 3 is beautiful. But I prefer this over the later.

I just started witcher 2 after finishing the first one, and as someone who IS NOT a gamer, I absolutely detest the combat in witcher 2. In witcher 1 I actually enjoyed that I understood all the combat mechanics.
You just point and click with your mouse while you have the right sword in hand and the right combat mode on, and then you can focus on additional sign casting, or the occasional bomb, or the emergency swallow if you're running low. And after you've slain some monsters for a while, you can continue with the nice, juicy story. In witcher 2, I feel like I need to be doing three things simultaneously at any given time... use the mouse to move your head while pressing several keys to move, choose which enemy to attack, which sign to cast, which trap to set, strategize and whatever, and I'm absolute shit at it. And in easy mode, combat feels very much empty. Like, I know that I'm just aimlessly slashing at people. It works. I get hurt a lot. I still survive and can move on. In witcher 1 I felt like I was actually doing stuff and that I could get better or worse. It felt like I could go to normal mode and still not die. This feels like I'm the biggest noob on earth.

The Witcher 2 is dark. That is I just want to take a flashlight or a torch to see things better there. Also, an echo is too loud in the forest like all of them in a big cave. The system of fist fighting of the Witcher 2 is the best in comparison to the Witcher and the Witcher 3. I'm looking forward for the Witcher 4 and the remastered Witcher 1.

I'm at the part where Letho kills Foltest.. But i'm confused about how in the Witcher 3 its one of the Wild Hunt that killed Foltest... You see it in a vision thanks to the Oneiromancer... I haven't seen the rest of the video so this might be a bit forward. But still, does anyone know?
The vision in the witcher 3 is the death of Auberon Muircetach, king of the Aen Elle/Wild Hunt. Why would Gaels betray Eredin over the death of Foltest? The death of human kings would mean nothing to the Wild Hunt...

Quando fai la run a oscura è molto impegnativo ma le armature e le armi speciali che crafti in questa modalità sono molto forti anche se costosissimo realizzarle. In più quando la sfoderi diventa tutto molto buio e senti il ruggito della bestia. Il buio è un pó fastidioso. Finire la run per me è stato molto soddisfacente.
