So essentially pirating the product and using an outdated version that is not accessible from the suscription gives you a better experience than the regular customers. That's just sad.
Yes! You know for sure the pirated version is stable. I pay for monthly updates but only use the version that is also available pirated as it's the most stable one. Same goes for Illustrator and Photoshop. I think most of the subscribers are staying with Adobe due to commodity but that's going to change soon
But it's accessible from subsricption
Damn I’ve been paying 20 a month….where do I get these “pirates” versions?
Same ]:
@@LingLing-ou6nt you should google, i have never paid for subscriptions
looks like davinci basic is coming soon guys
Yes please
After diving into Resolve, I have zero desire to ever go back to Premiere, unless I’m forced to for work reasons, especially after the last year or so, it’s almost unusable, and ridiculously slows down my workflow. I’ve been super happy with resolve, and how powerful it is.
@@joshuamccabe2 im literally looking at tutorials now
@@YoungBlaze Nice! It’s pretty intuitive and easy to pick up. They even have built in keyboard shortcuts options that mimic other NLEs, so the switch was pretty organic for me.
@@joshuamccabe2 how long would You say it took you to kind of get the hang of it?
That subscription business model seems like a massive bug.
Its not just bugs. Its basic things like using warp stabilizer and speedramps and speedramps and any position effects, masking etc. that bring the stress level to over 9000. And the things just get more complicated with nesting files - which doesnt always prove to work and often introduces black screens and other bugs. Also, for me one of the most frustrating things - why cant we duplicate or raneme (A) nested clip to (B) so we could change the nested clip without f***** up all other (A) nested clips in the timeline. Because nesting in premiere is obviously so important, it should work FLAWLESSLY
I wanted to thumbsup this a thousand times. The nesting thing is so stupid. Among other things if you want to use the nested clip somewhere else in the timeline, it comes in as the individual clips. Adobe knows that the editor is trying to stabilize the footage, it should just figure out how to make it happen automatically, not throw an erro. Thumbs Up a Thousand
my god yesssssss duplicating to nest B would be a game changer!!!! also sending projects to project manager to make reference files for clients. almost every time I need to double check all nests to see if the contents were saved correctly. Half the time i need to cross reference to orriginal saved project and copy paste missing layers
Ha! Not to mention the useless project manager that never ever, ever works, period.
The problem with Premiere Pro is not these little bugs, but the overall performance, and the reason is simply that the software is based on code that is over 10 years old and has only been briefly optimized over the years.
Adobe MUST stop updating for 1 or 2 years to COMPLETELY review the Premiere Pro code. I prefer that to another cool AI addition on an unusable software...
I agree 50%, the problem isn't that the code is old. The problem is that the code is BAD.
preach!
or how i like to say it, Spagheti code
Last I checked, Adobe is a multi BILLION $ company, you mean the can't afford to do BOTH?
I wish I could use Resolve instead. Idk why, but my computer runs Resolve so much worse than Premiere. I've tried proxies and everything, but nothing changes.
The "shutter angle anchor point bug" still existing in 2024 is borderline CRIMINAL...
FIXXXXXXXXX THATTTTT SHITTTTTTT PLEASE @Adobe
I started using premiere since 2018 and that was a thing. Still is! This is just sad, come one Adobe!!!!
And oh fix your bloody track matte effect as it's been broken for nearly as long...
Which normal content creator uses premiere, if there is 10 times better Davinci Resolve? Cheaper, more enhanced...
The watermark lets you know at a glance if you're editing via proxy or original file. Yes there are other ways to see / tell. It's just helpful.
amazing, im so glad i spent $959.88 just this year for this ground breaking feature....
the one we already had was fine AND in a sea of need, this small drip was wrongly prioritized
This feature was available very long time ago just it had to be done on a different more hidden way
I love premiere but eventually tried davinci for a couple projects, slowly but surely it got easier. Came back to premiere after updating it, was so frustrated that they changed the basics of how masking or moving through the timeline used to work. It felt buggy, slower and just bad. Felt sad because I always vouched for premiere but now that I have used davinci I understand why people are switching.
Davinci is just really well optimized specially for mac users. It does crash but it is really rare and it usually backups your projects flawlessly, and you know what? I just use the free version! Haven't paid a dime yet!
Bugs
1. When you select text tool and type something like q or w it does not write it will use it as command
2. Premier pro automatically crash without any thing happened
3. Render speed just sucks
We have i9 13th gen rtx 4090 with 128gb ram
And it renders our video in 2 min
With 5-6 media encoder crash
And 8-10 windows crash
4. the circle effect can't even playable even after proxy
I have tried Davinci and like it, no more frequent crashes like Adobe. Will not go back to Premiere until they fixed it. Anyway, I love Davinci's interface, shortcuts and transitions. Maybe you will like it too.
I recently bought DaVinci Resolve because I'm fed up with adobe.
I use both :)
@@PremiereBasics I use both as well, and everytime I use premiere im thankful i made the switch, i use premiere reluctantly when I have a graphics heavy project, having the sent to Aftereffects feature for a clip is just handy, cant wait till davinci can do it. Not holding my breath...
@@NBSPRO Consider learning Fusion.
@@crazycucumber683 You have any videos coming out for it? I simply dont understand how the nodes work.
@@crazycucumber683 I really need to learn it, 20 years of after effects is hard to change i guess for an old dog like myself (im 38 btw) lol
I used premiere and switched to Davinci, but still following you guys hahaha. You all would be a great addition to the community. Hahaha
one bug that has not been fixed for years now is recording voice over to the timeline among many others. I'm seriously thinking of switching to davinci. I'm getting the impression that adobe is starting not to care about retaining its long standing customers.
Absolutely agree! Thats why ive finally switched to DRV - and NEVER regretted a second. Its hard a little to change the habits, but its done in 2-3 days and you understand that this is such an AWESOME software
what is wrong with recording voice over if I may ask.
@@IPSUMstudio1 in some builds premiere pro doesnt allow you to record voice over directly to the timeline. You either have to revert back to an older version of premiere pro or open up a seperate project. Its a bug thats has not been fixed for years. Since i make tutorials its very frustrating having to re record in adobe audition. etc also the dynamic link between all adobe softwares is completely broken.
About the scroll wheel thing, if you put your mouse cursor on the time frame under the video playback it and use the wheel it will actually work as before (move frame by frame)
They’re terrible for charging a subscription for a product that continually underperforms or doesn’t at all. It’s only a matter of time
There is a bug when you try to scroll in the lumetri color it kinda frezzes the scroll and you have to wait before scrolling again. Super annoying so I just started using the sidebar scroll
Hi. As I understand it, scrolling now does not work according to the location of the playhard, but according to the location of the mouse cursor
My new bug is sending my export to media encoder. Keeps coming up with media offline but exports fine in premier. No idea tried everything everyone has mentioned to no avail. So i no longer use media encoder.
The biggest hang up I have had with Resolve is Fusion. It’s Byzantine and no matter how many tutorials I watch on it, I can’t seem to grasp it. Titles and graphics in Resolve still need work. Color grading in Resolve is so superior and it’s nice to have all your tools (audio, FX and export) at the ready instead of launching a second app.
I still don't understand that you are still so faithful to Premiere pro. Just jump over to Davinci. I understand that you have built the channel around premiere pro. But Adobe is losing ground and many are switching to other programs. So the audience will only get smaller and smaller regarding Premiere pro. You are skilled and you can create a large audience with other programs. Like DaVinci Resolve.
Shoutout to the time where i had to export my hour long video in 2 minute parts and still it kept crashing 50% of the time
omg fr 😭
Wow, I can’t even begin to imagine the pain you had to go through
When was that? I have never had that problem, and often have 1-2hr projects. Have been using Premiere through good and bad versions since version 1.
When that happens, dont export to mp4 or something like that export to Prores instead. There should be less errors and even if it fails, you can still use the already rendered section of the file unlike mp4.
On 24.5 running Mac OS 13.6.7 I'm not able to reproduce the timeline scrolling bug. I wonder if this has to do with a setting you may have checked. Thinking about timeline scroll being set to something other than None perhaps? Not sure, but can't reproduce the issue either with ALT+middle mouse wheel or with zoom in/out shortcut keys. Timeline zooming acts normally for me.
I am very much so thinking of switching to Davinci at this point...been with Adobe forever but the price is insane for all the bugs
I had the same problem of Premiere not exporting (a less than 2 minute video) earlier this week. I tried all the usual "tricks" to get it to export (copy to new sequence, clear media cache, send sequence to Media Encoder, etc.), finally came down to me having to make both the render preview in the project settings AND the render in export settings set to software instead of hardware.
Added an extra 45 minutes of render time, but finally got it.
Let me guess, error code 3?
Appreciate your honest review of recent new updates of PR. On the other hand, other channels like Premiere Gal have not even talked about it
They would dare not speak about it as they are probably getting paid as sponsorships lol🤭
I have been facing an issue where every project says goes out of memory even after assigning 29GB of memory to premiere, in task manager only 50-60% memory is occupied so it’s an issue with premiere, and I tried literally everything to fix it but nothing works
"its painful to see it going downhill". So true. Ive had your problems and some of mine. PPro gets worse with each update. Timeline track sizes and colors. Constantly resetting workspace and on and on and on. Audio drop outs but cursor keeps playing. And the annual cost? Im currently learning Resolve.
Do you guys also have the problem with audio...its not playing audio in some channels. I SEE that its working, i just dont hear it. And when exported its just working. How can I edit like that?
You still can move frame by frame by using the mousewheel, just you need to move with cursor to the area where is play button etc
Thats correct.
the bug I'm facing right now is Premiere crashing constantly while working even if I have a good system and tried so many method but could not stop this from happening
I have encoutnered a bug of some sort where it exports certain clips with "click to anaylse" blue ribbon for the warp stabiliser. On timeline inside premiere it doesn't show this ribbon, before exporting doesn't prompt you with warnings that there are clips that needs analysing, but on export it's there on multiple clips throughout the edit. It's getting embarrassing at this stage to use premiere for professional work.
Yes I have had a similar issue with premier lately. I also have some problems with my new Intel i9 build it seems like companies make crap products now and charge you more for it
Im having a lot of issues with syncing audio even though I know it should have no problem because lots of peaks and no clipping so whats happening--it wrecking my head
Got a weird bug on using dynamic link losing the audio that was on the after effects comp.
Turns out if the audio is on the first layer, it won't read on premiere.
Another bug is using Lumetri on After Effects. Sometimes it distorts the footage when using it... I think on 4k footage it squishes the y axis to fit the comp, but not the x axis
FYI: You can still use the scroll wheel to move a frame forward or backward by first hovering on the Program timeline. That's it. I got used to it quickly, and it is worth it to get the zoom feature.
Same boat had to rollback to 24.3🙃 - didn't even consider the latest update, thanks for the info.
Yes they need to fix the timeline zoom ASAP, it's insane. However, you CAN use keyboard + and - to zoom in and out of the cursor playhead on all the versions.
Thanks :)
That timeline zoom bug has been driving me nuts. I thought that I was doing something wrong for like ten minutes at first.
3:15 My zoom function works just like it always has..... BUT..... I have always set up a button on my MX3 mouse for zooming in. I confirmed that it still zooms into where your playhead is.
I also noticed that when you zoom on the playback with the scroll wheel there isn't anymore the border bars to move in the frame like up or down, I always have to fit the scale and zoom on the interested part with the scroll wheel, also the drag feature pressing the wheel button on the mouse (like in AE) is not working for me.
Bonus tip: if you have the mx master 3 a workaround for the scroll wheel to move in the frame forward or backward is to use the side scroll wheel as left arrow key and right arrow key, if you're not using it for other things yet
The ctrl/alt + scroll ( to zoom) option works with mouse cursor position and not playhead position.
Just updated Premiere to 24.5 and don't have any of these issues. Actually seems snappier than previous version. Zooming on timeline centers wherever cursor is placed.. so I dunno what's wrong with your version.
Watermarks in proxies are there so you don't need to double check if they are actually activated. Sometimes proxies are in a very good quality, espacially in a small window. I needed it a lot
I will be really happy to see some kind of basic tracking in the premiere, like the one DaVinci or Final Cut. And roto masking will also be awesome. Since DaVinci and FinaCut have had them for ages, it's time to implement those in the premiere too. It's really annoying when you have to open another program just for a simple tracking.
can you see the "timeline" option on the preferences tab? have they fixed that since 24.1?????
How do you know adobe will see the video?
Proxy icons are helpful in visually informing the editor that their proxies are either turned on or off. I typically use high-rez proxies, so it's sometimes difficult to tell the difference when editing.
I switched to davinci last year and never looked back, its just a more stable platform and the workflows are organised and clean. I also use their Speed Editor and Mini Colour panel which really make you work faster. One point on the proxy icon, these are important in some cases where the camera creates the proxy. I used to shoot in C4K which is slightly wider than 4K but the proxy was recorded in 16:9 so it was essential to see the icon and understand if the framing is correct.
Thanks maatje... En nu heel snel naar Resolve 😅
I'm on PC PPro 24.5 and when I Alt+scroll in the timeline, Premiere zooms in where my mouse cursor is located, not where the Playhead is, which is fine by me, I usually use the keyboard shortcuts for zooming, so I rarely use the scroll wheel anyway
That's a great alternative
Files scrolling down in bins section and cant able to scroll up😢. Anyone facing the same
Since 24.4 I can't scroll and move clips with it playing. I have to stop playback to do ANYTHING. try aligning audio when you can't shift the damn clip with it playing.
I was having this problem and then realised it was caused by the essential graphics panel. Try closing it and give it a test.
AFAIK zooming in on the playhead on timeline is just a settings that you can enable... so you might want to check that first... and secondly using scroll wheel for moving frame by frame is still possible you just have to hover your mouse over the time bar that's beneath the video preview... soo yeah.
I actually love the proxy icon because it's so easy to see when I'm in an actual proxy. Sometimes it is hard to tell, even though the proxy is activated. I hear ya on the timeline zoom in fail. That's lame. Thanks for the video.
FYI, we shouldn’t be confident and proud that AI is the future. It’s not the future you think.
Lol, it is 😂
I'm not saying I'm happy with it, but A.I. is going to be the future.
@@PremiereBasics nah, it produces more emissions than NFTs and there are various companies/people suing for copyright (including the US suing Adobe themselves 💀) so sooner or later that whole thing will crumble. One way or another
Idiot it’s Advanced Internet, that’s what they said when the internet was first introduced. 😂😂😂
If it's not the future, what is?
In Essential grafic tab you can't quickly recenter the ancorpoint of a text or grafic have to do it manually it use to be so easy
my keyboard shortcuts for 'nesting clips' and 'reveal in project' stopped working!!!
Great video hope they got ears 👂 & listen to what their users actually want
I have used Davinci for 1 year and now im trying Adobe Premier i kinda like it hope things dont get worse.
I am so glad that i started my editing journey from Davinci Resolve
Text won’t stay selected in player. have to edit in the text window.
How can you switch back to 24.3?
The bug im experiencing is my timeline goes non responsive after 2 mins of editing time. The audio will cut out right before it freezes and goes non responsive.
After last bugs I finally switched to resolve it much better IDK why I was so hesitant!
They still don,'t let us move a whole timeline up and down just by click and drag ?
Never found a real solution about this, other than copy and paste my whole timeline into another and deleting the previous one.
Do someone have another solution ?
I personally had more issues with the new Lightroom update crashing things.
What is really unbelievable is that the Transform effect is still bugged after 8 years.....
I updated for a short time to use the "editing with the text" and that was cool but it is not as good as Gling. It came with other problems like you mentioned so I rolled back. I installed Davinci and i am now like that guy in the meme walking with his gf (Pr) but staring back at the passing girl (Davinci)
I use both and really love Davinci, but i have this client that edits in premiere and for collaboration purposes I gotta go back to premiere cause I need the job lol
Is there also any solution to replace After Effects?
You can scroll frames if you have the cursor on the timecode bar under the video preview. Was furious until I found out.
I can´t update Premiere because the new Version crashes every time opening an old project
The bug I found was being on the first from of a clip and trying to track a mask. It never works. However, you can copy the mask, delete it, reapply it by pasting the mask back on, move forward one frame, track again and then it will work perfect every single time ❤
Dont understand why you still use Premiere xD If you get used to davinci you never Look back ;)
One of the bugs that irritates me the most is when I export while using duel monitors either within premiere or media encoder premiere doesn't return to the dual monitor workspace I have saved it defaults to only one monitor. Some times it works but I'd say 85% of the time it does not. My workaround used to be to have duplicate workspaces saved so after each export I needed to select a different workspace to return back to dual monitors. Now I have a separate single monitor hook export workspace that extends the entire height of my monitor enabling me to see all my hooks and quickly send to ME. If I was only exporting one video at a time in a project this wouldn't bother me but everyday I'm exporting multiple versions of the same video with say 10 or so different hooks for my clients to test. As you can imagine constantly switching workspaces just to send all the different hook variations to media encoder gets very tedious and time consuming. Please please please adobe fix this bug. I do love all the new bells and whistles and see you are trying hard to be a leading force but fixing little bugs like this would help a lot and save so much time for us editors using your software for everyday work.
I seriously miss stepping back and forth with the scroll wheel! I hardly ever need to zoom in and out, but I need to make fine adjustments to edit points all day. It would be awesome to be able to do it in the way I’m familiar with, without having to drop my mouse and go to the keyboard.
i've been doing this long enough to know they'll never listen and never fix bugs because what are we going to do, switch to resolve and find a photoshop alternative?
Adobe actually has to make a whole new version of Premiere because the codes are very old that’s why it’s so unstable
Your best video ever..Adobe after 20 years, I'm switching to Devinchi Resolve..
"Davinchi?"
A proxy icon prevents you from getting confused if your eyes can't see the difference in compression rates, toggling between raw and proxy usually have noticably different looks to your color grade no matter the software
The watermark/icon on the proxy’s is to insure people don’t run off with your work without paying you if I had to take a guess
I get why people don't want to switch. I am on DaVinci and I really like it. The only problem is that my editing experience gets wrecked from the bad playback. Like it is so aggressively lagging on a system with a 12th gen i7, rtx3070ti and 96 GB of ram. I tried everything under the sun but can't make it run smooth. It is that atrocious. Might actually have to change to premiere or another editor.
I moved to Davinci about 6 months ago, and im sooo much happier, i get to leave work earlier because I dont have all those lost minutes and hours from the crashes, everytime I have to create a project in premiere its just shows me i made the right choice moving.
Did you find a good tutorial for making the premiere to Davinci switch. I seem to get lost, but I do have a small brain
@@jamesbruce first thing I did was set the keyboard to be premiere setup, then it was just a google search for Davinci for beginners and I just started a project in it and was forced to google when I came across a problem.
The zoom issue its not a random zoom, it zooms where you mouse cursor is, just put the cursor where you want to zoom, at least its how its working on my computer with 24.5
3:22 I use 24.4.1 and timeline zoom is totally normal - i use "alt" + mousewheele and I zoom in where my mouse cursor/pointer is. Totally fine and I can't remember it was diffrent at any time...
Interesting I always have the latest version of premiere and it never crashed when remixing music.
I found a bug in adobe subscription. Why it's expensive?
i'm a beginner in editing, what's ur advice i should start learn davinci or premiere?
It really doesn't matter, I use both a lot and I really like both. For me personally Premiere still wins.
Yeah I did the update and I think it's about 20% harder to edit on the platform have trouble with the scroll wheel on the mouse I keep zooming into the image and then have to put fit to screen and I think they took a step backwards.☕️🇺🇸
I also love working on Premiere and After Effects but seeing those bugs always annoys me.
I haven't had any issues with Premiere for as long as I can remember (Yes I update every time they release a new version). Not sure why it's such a different experience user to user 🥺
I really want to see if it's possible to find the version pirated precracked
that zoom really annoing also in Lumetri color panel color wheel and match , delay every time i use , but about crash in export... i never had . i use threadripper 3970x + rtx3070
The problem with the zoom in timeline isn't a problem: you actually zoom in where the cursor is, not the head. If you look in the video, you zoom both time where the cursor is.
I had same issue with exporting my video. I hate it when Adobe does that...
The timeline scroll is actually still there, instead of Ctrl, you have to hold Alt key in Windows. 🙃
Just this week I started my transition to davinci. It will take time but I am cutting as many ties with Adobe as possible.
I am guessing that day is soo near when videos of premier basic are going to be edited on Davinci Resolve
