Tip: When removing the refrigerator cover, turn the rubber clips up & down as shown in Jeff's video, but then pull them out toward you with your fingers or tool. This will allow you to effortlessly remove the cover.
I noticed water on the inside floor in front of the fridge. Took the outside cover off and found the white plastic drain hose was disintegrating. I had to disconnect, unscrew and push out the fridge about 5 inches to get access to the hose in the back. hardware store did not have a matching hose so I bought a 1/2" garden hose. Cut off about 2 feet, Heated the end in hot water and pushed it onto the fitting in the back. Since garden hoses have a set curve to them I could not just bend it where I wanted it. I spiraled the hose through the metal heating coils on the back so the bottom end would line up with the hose holder. Pushed the fridge back in, lined up the hose, cut it to length, and it fits great. Do not let this go. Fix it before damage is done.
Hello, ty for your post, so you took out the screws that hold the fridge in place, inside the trailer, and pulled the fridge forward about 5 inches? Is this correct? Ty
Great video. I had a leak on mine...the hose drained into the water collector tray on the back of fridge and then overflowed and eventually water made some of it's way inside camper. So I then positioned the hose like you have here for peace of mind.
Nice. Many of the smaller Dometic refrigerators, mine included, do not have the drip tray. Good that you caught it in time. A few months of that leaking onto the floor would be damaging.
Yep, it’s a common oversight. I see the condensation drain hoses just lying on the floor or out of their evaporation cup on about 75% of the units I inspect.
I have an interesting issue. I was having a delimitation problem which I noticed before it grew to be a real problem. And it was caused from water seepage due to no drain hose. At least I can't find it and I have tried my best to locate it. The clip that holds it in place so it will drain to the outside is there, just no hose. What is the hose connected to?
Now that game of thrones is over how do you really feel about your character arc and do you feel becoming the queen slayer would have been a more fitting end than what we got?
Do small outdoor kitchen refridgerators with no freezer have a drain hose? Just bought this used 2015 Puma and don't see a drain hose on the apartment size fridge in the outdoor kitchen. Now my full size fridge inside the camper does have a drain hose barely coming out to drain outside. I touched it to pull it more out but it wanted to crumble, so I left it alone; what's left of it is just sitting on one of the grate openings. Afraid if I take the grate off it will finish crumbling and I won't be able to fix it. My husband says to quit looking for things that are broken, but I'd rather fix them before it gets worse. Don't know if we can push this fridge inside the camper some to replace that hose cause the furnace is underneath the fridge. It doesn't sit on the floor. Anyway just bouncing off some thoughts. Thanks for any advice.
Hi, this is a Dometic refrigerator so the cover is not upside down. It’s installed in the correct orientation. If it was the other way, water would just run right into the vent openings. *A Norcold refrigerator vent has the tabs on the top of the cover.

Well now. Good to know. I bet his is why the floor in the kitchen area is always wet. I'll be checking once I get back home .

Good to know. Looks like something I can do.

Why did you install your cover upside down?

How do you unplug it?
If plugged, you can gently run a bottle brush on a 10 awg wire from inside the refrigerator out.
