  • Nate and I finish up the tree removal job from videos #29 and #30. I use the Stihl 036 Pro with the carbide chain to cut the White Cedar stump down. Nate works on chipping the white cedar and box elder we dropped and limbed back. The Kioti RX7320 with the Wallenstein BX62 chipper makes quick work of the debris. For this yard clean up we chipped right in to IBC totes so we could close them up and load them onto the trailer for easy clean up. Yet another use for IBC totes. The Milwaukee Hatchet saw came in handy de limbing bigger branches so they would feed into the chipper.

Yes it did. I have since wired the liners into the crates with safety wire instead of using the tie strap and they empty easy without having to shake them.

Heath, Do you recall what year the BX62 is? How long have you had this one, and what is the maintenance like? Is there anything it doesn’t like? What is its true capacity, is 6 inch realistic? Looking at one locally it’s a 2008, and it looks to be in decent shape from the pictures. Thanks in advance for any information you can give on it. Take care and have a great day Around the Yard! Spring maybe in site, finally.😊

Brent, I’m not sure what year it is. I haven’t used it a ton but it does work well. For 6” brush it depends on hardness of the wood and how fast you feed it. Check out our crushing brush and getting dirty video. It can definitely beat you up loading it without the hydraulic infeed.

I’m curious how you had your kids fastened in back?

To keep the kids up I just use the metal bars from the top of the totes and keep them in the plastic loop on the top of the container. Then push them down between the plastic bladder and the cage. It holds them open so they can be filled.
