If the dev was serious about promoting and empowering women in bball, they would release a WNBA with Candace on the cover. Nothing against Candace, and her amazing talents, but this just reeks of catering for the sake of $$ and the appearance of being woke.
Make a WNBA 2K. Allow gamers to play a full roster and season/franchise of their favorite WNBA players and teams.

This isn't even a decision to help WNBA, it's a decision by 2K for their own benefits and image. Show us the most dominant WNBA players this year. #BEAR DOWN!!! Spice Adams. This episode should have been longer in my opinion considering this is history in the making. 30 minutes at least. It was too short. Idk why there's time constraints to this podcast. Anyway, congrats to Candace for the accomplishment. Mad Respect. Female athletes are starting to take over the world. It's too bad the WNBA hasn't exploded into popularity and mainstream consciousness. Players like Candace give credibility to the WNBA product.
You know the major problem is not only they had to include a WNBA player on a men's basketball cover. If they really want to promote WNBA and women in sports, they can't be promoting this to men. Men in generally watch men's sports, they need to encourage women to watch & promoting women in sports. What are women interested in watching? It's not sports, and it's not men's fault for that. Shows like Ellen, the view, Wendy & the Real should do a better job at this.

I feel sorry for any of the daughters of the "men" in here. Candace grew up idolising Shaq. Kobe, MJ and adoring men's basketball like we all do! Then she worked hard to get to the highest level she could, including 2x Olympic gold medals and the list of WNBA accomplishments. Why not allow her to be one of the options on the cover when BOTH guys and girls play both 2k and basketball? Men don't have a monopoly on loving the game. Just be proud she is an option of one of the athletes for your kids to look up to. She's earned this opportunity. It's got nothing to do with being "woke".
