Rest. Rest. Rest. It's ok to rest. As a 65 year old grandma. I've learn to rest and even just nap for a few minutes. 🎉 I also just set in the Word for 5 minutes it helps to get me though each day. Let it rain. Raining cats and dogs. The weather will make you tired. One of those days you want to stay in bed with a good book.
Miss Amy, you realize heat rises. The way you have your blades on the fan is meant for winter so it will pull that hot air down towards you. In the summer, especially in Florida, you need to turn it so the air blows on you (even if you don't like it, perhaps just at the slowest speed). Otherwise, your Air conditioning unit is working harder to cool off the room as you are literally pulling the hot air down. If you don't want to have it on low, it's better off to just not use it. It will save your air conditioning unit's motor. Continued use in that manner (in the summer) will cost you thousands in the end.
I think all of us can relate to this sometimes. I got a lot done today and then suddenly this afternoon I just felt so horrible. It came on very suddenly and knocked me down. It was during the time I should have been cooking dinner as my husband was on his way home. I couldn't gather the energy and needed to rest. I last minute called him on his drive home and asked if he could just drive-thru and get dinner for himself and our son. He did, no problem. I rested on the couch and a couple hours later felt so much better. Sometimes you just have to listen to your body. Sure, there are other times where you just don't feel like doing something, but you push through anyways. But, on those days that your body is sending you a clear message to slow down, it's best to listen.
I for one was so happy to see you have a rest day I finally got caught up we've been doing some remodeling and I've been having to play catch up with your videos see we all have life happen bless you Hope your rest day was as wonderful as you are❤
So I’m sure someone has already told you but if you want to, if you cover your pool when it’s raining like that, you will save money balancing your chemicals after.
@@amymaryon boy do I get that. And it may be different for a saline pool. We just had a plain chlorine one. And we live where rain is infrequent so we would just cover it when it was raining a lot. We all have to figure out what works best for us! Thanks for your encouragements every day. My sister is a Lutheran pastor and she just went to a conference about how imperative it is in this day and age to “be the church” in all you do because with fewer and fewer people going to church, we need to meet them where they are. To be the lifeboat reaching out our hands and sharing the Good News of the Gospel. It immediately made me think of you. Blessings to you my sister in Christ!!!💕

I have a condition called SAD it infects you mostly in the winter months but rainy, cloudy days , really get me down. I know it's been this way All my life, with the Depression and PTSD ,I couldn't understand it. But than my boss I would look for just a small patch of blue sky on bad days. Anyway he brought it up . But when this illness that knocked me down most the time it got worse, But I learn to try and fit it into my New way of having to live my Life now. Take your Days you need them, God knows your needs .
I didn’t grow up in a house we had to take our shoes off. But my daughter does that in her house. But I don’t take mine off right off. I find washing dish relaxing with the hot water.
Somehow you still manage to be inspiring on your “down” day. Definitely important to listen to our bodies.. and I agree with balance and pressing through when you’re able. 🙏🏼🩵

Funny story. We were somewhat near you this last week (Thur before Mother's day to the next Thurs). Orange Beach AL and Perdito Keys. The storms Monday and Tuesday were little to us, we are in North Texas, and used to much worse. But... Our condo backed up to a state park and lots of swamp land. The night after all the rain, the frogs were screeching so loudly. It was like a horror movie, lol! Anyway, take your rest when you need it. You and I are the same age and I have recently learned that taking a rest when needed gets me better moving to get things done later. Now I don't have near the number of offspring as you, so I know your list is super sized compared to mine 😅, but feel good about taking rest when you need it.
Good morning. Yucky days are definitely a resting day Unfortunately, I have more of those days than not. I agree that screen time doesn't always correlate to productivity. My daughter spent her middle & high school online, her favorite thing was reading research papers and doctoral thesis. She is now going into her junior year in college where she works full time and takes a full case load including taking summer classes. I hope today is better than last week. I have both the little Bissel and a hoover Steam vac. We have carpet almost everywhere that doesn't have water. I have a problem with my feet and hard floors cause severe pain. We do not wear shoes inside. We have slippers we were. We also provide slippers to visitors, which we rarely get. It is usually rapair people, and we give them those surgical booties to wear over their shoes. I do understand about it being dirty, though. There is dust and just normal gunk that humans bring in. I try to clean my carpets every other week, but it doesn't always happen. Take care, and I'm glad you all survived the storm.
Good morning , I once worked at a large campground in South Florida. And we had guests that came in from all over the World. They would fly into Miami and rent a small Motorhome. And because we were close they would stop by our campground either heading south to the Keys or Everglades National Park. Or maybe they were heading home. Or just wanting to spend time in the Miami area. But especially in this time of year we start getting lots of rain. And many many times they would say I thought Florida was the Sun Shine State. And all it does is rain. I would tell them Florida is also Tropical and in the tropics it rains almost every day. Give me the rain storms every day. They don't last long. The sun will come back out. 🌅🦩🐚🌞
Hope you've recovered nicely by now. There is some kind of sickness moving thru our family as well.... And, rain here thru the holiday weekend so it looks like several days of movies for us as well.
The Florida Sun can wipe you out. Having lived there 31 years it is full on tropics! Plus seasonal allergies that people get can all contribute to your allergies and health. ❤❤❤

Typically, in Florida that is not the case. It's just padding and cement flooring under that. Especially since we don't have basements and most pipping runs through the cement slab. It's done that way for easier access should a slab leak occur.
I have felt like this Amy since I started the menopause. Some days I am so tired I have to tell myself to rest. Hope you feel better xxx

I’m retired but.-I got bored so I went back to work. Marketing and business development. It’s fun. I love the extra money.
