I thought I wore a lot of hats y’all but no, my guest takes the cake! She’s an author, speaker, and certified life coach! She has helped budget a million dollar company, financially coached citizens reentering in life and has lived in other countries! She has lived many lives and is well versed in many facets.
Author of ‘The Black Woman in Leadership's Survival Guide’ and ‘Go Be Her!, my bios and intros just don’t do Bex Bakre justice! We discuss being still enough to hear from God, how the pandemic made us all sit down and be still, and authority being threatened by her honest leadership. “I know I communicate well, I know I lead well but can someone teach me…” As a leader, she is humble, still approaching life as a student.
We also talk about her former title as an Expat in Costa Rica, being a Black woman in a foreign place and finding her inner peace. She has been on her “radical journey of joy, adventure and peace” and manages to find time to write multiple books and manuscripts. Even with all the titles and life experiences, she hit a low point of burn out that made her “pull away from everything and that included the faith based environment and sought God for [herself]”.
