I really like how you reduce the set-up to only the modules you anticipate using. Sometimes looking at an entire case of modules and their blinking LEDs is a bit distracting. Love it. The only thing that would be helpful would be some fill lighting from the left and right sides to brighten up the modules without reflecting light into the camera.
It comes with an 8gb card loaded with a few random sounds (percussion, some interesting small sounds, etc). The sounds that come with it only take up like 50mb so you have plenty of memory left on that card. The max card it supports is 32gb but it performs faster with smaller cards. I think 8gb is plenty, you can easily put hundreds of one-shot sounds on there.
I had to send it in to VSL to have the resonance adjusted. Apparently a small batch of early modules had a problem where the filter would start self oscillating at like 10% of a knob turn. I just got it back today so I'm going to put it back and test it out.
