    I apologise if the quality is not as good as usual. It was the first time for me working with this Zoom Recordings. Hope you understand.

    great video and one of the most interesting interviews concerning pumpfoiling. I can pump for 6 minutes, but I have no idea how to pump for more than one hour

    If you pump do you pump / train only one way? Goofy, or regular? Or do you train both directions to keep everything in balance? Thank you

      Interesting question...

    Can you ask Nicolas how the power required to maintain the foil compares to making on a bike? So for example if he can maintain the foil for 2h, how much continuous power could he produce on the stationary bike for that long? Or at what power output on the bike is his heart rate the same as on the foil?

      Hi onquarter. You give a good and interesting question. When i pump with the Condor XL wing, my heartfrequency is around 140-155, all depend about the clothing (long/short neoprene), the weather/water condition (in easy headwind, my hartrate increase around 10 b/min), temperature etc. On the roadbike, this is my usual heartrate and I can ride that for hours (around 200 watts --> >3Watts/kg). My maximum heartrate is around 190 and can hold 175-180 b/min for one hour (heartrate threashold).

      Thanks for those information ! You mention your former foil in the video and your 15/20 heart rate gain with condor XL. Which foil was it ?
      (No finger pointing of one brand here just curious about his short fuselage & small stab effect)

      @@nicolasiten4578 Thanks Nicolas! So my spin goal will be to maintain 200 watts as long as possible. Hypothetically that duration should be roughly how long I can stay on foil with the condor XL (given I weight the same as you).

      @@onquarterit takes years of endurance training for >2h every day to maintain 200W constantly for longer duration without tiring...

      @@matija3791 I don't know much about cycling. How long could the average fit person maintain that? A minute? I think the average fit person can pump a foil for a minute.

    🤔makes sence to nonstop pump, pump&glide can mess up your stability, but the best feeling is to glide and carve, innit? 🙂

    • @nicolasiten4578
      @nicolasiten4578 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Pump and glide is in my eyes like an interval, I can relax for 2 seconds, but have to increase the hight of the mast for some strong pumps. As a result of this, I get more tired. I like this endurance thing, but when I have some waves from a boat, I will learn to ride on them. I`m sure I will like it.
