In the words of Count Dooku; "I've been looking forward to this!" Seriously, although short-lived, this is like my favorite series on your channel, ever!
"at the end of this run, im going to own a crystal graveyard." -best quoet of the video. and 2 thnings i learned. Artorias can roll, and Kalameet, the black DRAGON, has really high lightning def, which is weird since darksouls dragons tend to have low lightning def.
Now that i think about it, what if it's actually canon? That the only reason no one in Anor Londo dares to confront Kalameet is because he is somehow the only lightning resistant dragon in the neighborhood?
Oh wow. That feels serendipitous. I just watched part 1 and 2 thursday night because they showed up in the recommended. Nutty. Thanks for the nice videos and congrats on the run.
I love the use of the Mass Effect galaxy map music from 2:14 to 2:47 (I was going to ask about it since I recognized it but was unsure 'til it suddenly came to me, loved that theme so much)
I love dark souls 1 man. Honestly challenges like this keep it alive for me all these years later. That and holding out for dark souls nightfall haha. Thanks for the amazing vid!
I noticed that once item duping became a thing everyone was aware of, Dark Souls is now just full of Max level PvP players and, because everyone has 99 humanity, the vagrants are all over the place.
It's been so awesome to see Gravelords honestly active around. Around a year ago I saw my first ever vagrant just chilling in Blight town on a new game loop, and fought two separate Gravelords one in Blight and one by Gargoyles. And they were like, genuine low level casual players not some practically immortal twink build just there to farm. It's so cool seeing this game actually using all of it's multiplayer mechanics, just need dragon bros to start existing
2:14 that music... suddenly I'm in the Normandy again. I can see an alien in the middle of some calibrations, an angry anthropomorphic turtle and another alien with a muffled voice and a thick accent
With the Halberd, the main way to interrupt Artorias’ buff is a two handed running attack immediately followed by a two handed heavy attack. At least that worked for me with an Occult Halberd.
Aah Kalameet, I remember the last time I fought him. It was a pain in the ass to get the tail, took over an hour, many attempts, but when I finally did, I beat him almost immediately. I had, maybe 3, I think maybe only 1 Estus flask left, he was over 2/3 his health and I absolutely obliterated him. Easiest boss in the DLC when you don't go for the tail, which is funny because he's completely optional, and usually those are the harder ones.
Last time i did a DS playthough, i went for an intelligence build. It is actually insane how strong it is against Artorias. Secret easy mode confirmed once again.
If i remember right as mage, pyromancer or faith you bait out the 3 hit combo with the salto at the end with a heavy weapon heavy attack and then you crystal soulspear, chaos firestorm or gravelord dance him
I know the bosses input-read. But so do you, so why not heal in the safe openings, that *every* boss gives you? Just to show off the input-reading, perhaps? 🤔 Edit: 9:57 Yeah. ok. 😅
I love your Souls game videos, mate! The games are always so great! But I have to admit, most of the people in the fandom can act pretty moronic at times. But not you, bud, you are AWESOME 😎
It is difficult to beat Artorias? I beated him by rolling to his side every time he try to hit me and give him one attack until the fight is over, i imagined that everyone fighted him with the same style I didn't know that you can stagger is charge up explosion :C
Hey SLB, I'm a huge long time fan of yours and I'm asking this out of love and care for you: Are you kinda done with TH-cam, or maybe just done with this kind of content? You seem burnt out man. You don't post often anymore, and when you do it's not the content that got you on the map in the first place. Is everything okay boss?
While SLB Started as a souls PvP creator, Elden Ring PvP dried up very quickly due to no solo invasions basically making it an afterthought to everyone except for invaders and gankers. As an Elden Ring PvP creator myself, it's really hard to get motivated to make content when that part of the game lacks any community backing and is an unbalanced hellscape where the meta beats any creative builds. As for SLB, he likely has a full-time job that keeps him busy, and YT is a part time gig for him. He probably has much less time to make videos than he used to when he was in school.
Which DLC boss is your favourite??
Gonna have to go with the sanctuary guardian or artorias just strictly based off their design and fast movements
From the lore and style is Artorias. From the boss as Raid Boss is Manus - the father of the Abyss.
Your mother.
Manus, I'm just a fan of bit twisted monsters
Artorias
I'm going to permanently associate the Lego clatter with weapon durability now. Thank you for this.
"He stabs you with his sword before you even have time to swallow" is certainly a choice of words 😂
Truly the quotes of all time.

He says the most homosexual rigmarole it’s got me dying 😂😂

Kalameet is built different
Now that i think about it, what if it's actually canon? That the only reason no one in Anor Londo dares to confront Kalameet is because he is somehow the only lightning resistant dragon in the neighborhood?
@@memereaper2764 that might be, we need to get some one like Vaati on it.
Maybe dragons are not weak to lightning, they are just less resistant to it than other types of damage ?
@@BdrRmGwyn’s bolts are the thing that peeled through their stone scales. Seems weak to me.
Always a joy to see some good old SunlightBlade. I really gotta get back to my dark souls challenge runs.
Oh wow. That feels serendipitous. I just watched part 1 and 2 thursday night because they showed up in the recommended. Nutty. Thanks for the nice videos and congrats on the run.
Love it when that happens! Thanks 😄
I had to look up "serendipitous"
1:50 I love gravelords so much it’s such a great concept
When ur faster then light u only get to live in the darkness 😢
deep 😞
My wife keeps tellin me that 😤

Please come back with the top 10. I’m still rewatching your last Dark Souls top 10 because they were of such high quality
I have loved this crystal build challenge! Love your editing and just your style in general. I've really enjoyed these vids!
Man that Oblivion music in there just hit me with so much nostalgia. Surprisingly fitting for the Darkroot exploration narrative.
I love dark souls 1 man. Honestly challenges like this keep it alive for me all these years later. That and holding out for dark souls nightfall haha. Thanks for the amazing vid!
So happy to see a post from you again! Awesome work as always
Literally saw parts 1 and two a few days ago and was like. "Man I cant wait for that DLC episode."
This brought memories back to me. Sweetly nostalgic. These games dominated my sleep with strategies that may work next time. They are so good.
The dazzling conclusion to an absolute gem (crystal?) of a challenge run.
I noticed that once item duping became a thing everyone was aware of, Dark Souls is now just full of Max level PvP players and, because everyone has 99 humanity, the vagrants are all over the place.
Only if i had ps+ :/ i really enjoy the pvp

Impressive. 🤘😁 Your videoes give me such good vibes, reminding me of the good old days when the souls-videoes flowed like rays of sun from on high.
It's not ironic that Manus means hand and he beats you with it, it's fitting.
2:14 that music... suddenly I'm in the Normandy again. I can see an alien in the middle of some calibrations, an angry anthropomorphic turtle and another alien with a muffled voice and a thick accent
PERFECT TIMING I JUST FINISHED WATCHING THE OTHER VIDEOS
THIS WAS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS WAITING FOR
RIP that invader. Man got VAPORIZED.
Congrats!! That was awesome
With the Halberd, the main way to interrupt Artorias’ buff is a two handed running attack immediately followed by a two handed heavy attack. At least that worked for me with an Occult Halberd.
I love to see some nostalgic Dark Souls 1 videos from Sunlight Blade.
Where it all began \[T]/
Interesting challenge my dude. Fun to watch. Glad your crystal power made short work of that invader in the deep dark.
The Walter White playthrough
1:55 as soon as i heard those names an instant sigh came out following with ptsd
I have watched a hundred Dark Souls lore videos, but it's only from your video I have learned that "Manus" is Latin for hand. Cheers, man!
nice video and editing ( as always sunlight )
What a sick fucking intro, god I would kill for a full song length edit like that.
0:54 In Serbian he would say: "Hei, šta ima?"
Nice video! What lighting mod are you using?
Idk why but hearing the good old ME 1 soundtrack just makes me love every video just immediatly xD
Always good to see your video in my feed m8👍
Great editing on top of already good content :)
The Mass Effect map music, hit me hard.
Good Video Sunlightblade 👍
Soo good to see you back making vids again. Hope you have time for Elden Ring DLC👍
Crystal Knight Shield for the win! I have waited for it.
Interesting challenge I’ve all ways loved crystal weapons so thank you for proving to everyone their viable
15 years later and this game is still going strong
this was great, glad to see it came full crystal ring
We need some more vids out of you, guy.

"They can sniff an estus flask healing". The term you probably want to use is input reading :).
Last time i did a DS playthough, i went for an intelligence build. It is actually insane how strong it is against Artorias. Secret easy mode confirmed once again.
My favorite dlc boss is definitely Artorious. Also you should consider a crystal only Elden Ring play through.
More videos like this one!
If i remember right as mage, pyromancer or faith you bait out the 3 hit combo with the salto at the end with a heavy weapon heavy attack and then you crystal soulspear, chaos firestorm or gravelord dance him
beating the dlc with crystal only, charlie sheen is jealous.
Gravelording is back baby!!!
Grossly incandescent continues!
Hey, Sunlight. The crystal Soul Spears are actually very useful for interrupting Artorias' buff. Since he won't dodge in that case.
You boutta make me redownload this just to make more builds because I never really actually made one for ds1
Ain't no way i just watched your old videos on this run !!!
You forgot about the powerful consumable of Crystal Meth.
Awesome. Love the crystal aesthetic
Knew there was a reason my recommended kept showing me your crystal vids
CEASAR WAKE THE MEN! LIGHT THE FIRES! LET THE PEOPLE KNOW SUNLIGHT HAS UPLOADED!
love this series, little hard to see tho, do you use any mods to change the game's appearance?
Wow this sounds like a fun/painful time.
Honey look the king have returned
Nice video as always, cheers from Germany
Nice to see you back :)
Welcome back to my feed old friend. It's been a while
After only using crystal and finishing this game, I am just as broken as my weapons
Neat playthrough, what song was that at the end?
3:32 not sure if your getting that wrong on purpose but its a manticore a mythical beast from folklore like the hippogryph not a twisted lion
Song: LIMITLXSS by ROONIN
Blade, what about your DS3 Use What You Find run?
Where you had to look for new weapons and armour in each new area!
CRYSTAL VIDEO DROPPED🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥
its been too long Sunlight we missed you bro
That shield can fire ultra Slash
I'll be honest, I saw the title and was like 'didn't some guy do this a while ago?'
It was you... you're that guy :|
Good video.
Haha, I reckon a lot of people might have thought the same thing - perhaps a good reason not to repeat similar ideas!
2:18 mass effect sfx and souls
Ahhhhh
isnt the moonlight butterfly spear also a crystal weapon of sorts?
I know the bosses input-read.
But so do you, so why not heal in the safe openings, that *every* boss gives you?
Just to show off the input-reading, perhaps? 🤔
Edit: 9:57 Yeah. ok. 😅
Is something happening to your videos? I never got a notification for this, nor have I seen it on your channel.
Hes back!!!!!!!!
Can you not just get any old weapon and infuse it crystal?
You have almost the same voice as the guy from "Astrum".
Surprised you didn't put anything that wasn't crystal in the bottomless box so you could hotswap during fights better
... That would have been smart 😆
i wish i had this game elden ring was a 10/10
Yes
I love your Souls game videos, mate! The games are always so great!
But I have to admit, most of the people in the fandom can act pretty moronic at times. But not you, bud, you are AWESOME 😎
12:15 There's an item that makes Manus easier? Why did no one tell me?
Wait, people really use silver pendant for Manus? He's so easy I didn't even bother getting it. Like ever.
Intro phonk song?
It is difficult to beat Artorias?
I beated him by rolling to his side every time he try to hit me and give him one attack until the fight is over, i imagined that everyone fighted him with the same style
I didn't know that you can stagger is charge up explosion :C
Can you beat the game only using crystal meth
Why not use the Spell "Repair"??
Doesn't work, I tried it!
second part lets gooooooo
