This is probably the best qudi library on the market now,as a dizi player I'm so amazed by the recording quality and realism of this library, good job Ample Sound
Thanks Ruben for this ACQD walkthrough...Ample Sound has created another stunning virtual instrument and I really hope they will release more Chinese winds and also an Erhu. Many blessings, Max
They’re gonna focus on more popular instruments after this. But the owner felt that he had to do something like this because it’s a reflection of his heritage culture. I’m very excited for the future projects, though I can’t say what they are and
Woodwinds are the only instruments I have real experience with (except guitar and piano which I'm not good at). It makes this release particularly interesting for me as I think Ample Sound are among the greatest VST developers on the market. I'm now happy to take part of you review and demo, so thank you for that! I'm also happy to see them develop more Chinese VSTis.
Absolutely amazing! Beautiful sample instrument and with a great flexibility.... I agreed, please something to show the name of all articulations to have an idea
I am really looking forward to a Chiba尺八 library (shakuhachi). Which is in fact a Chinese-originated traditional instrument that's introduced to Japan during the early "Tang" dynasty. However, since the western world call 尺八 in Japanese pronunciation instead of Chinese, a lot of people seem to confuse about where shakuhachi is originated from. (Even I got a little confused until I research about it, shame on me)
I love the qudi, one of my favorite instruments, and you did a great job in mimic ing a Chinese style with it! :) I can't wait to hear how a traditional solo piece for dizi solo would be played on this one, must be fun!!! :)
Haha. Right. I asked the owner to tell me the correct pronunciation for both qudi and dizi and I practiced them until he said they were correct. But during the recording I thought it would be less of a stress to just pronounce it in English. 😂
@@davidlai1996 I just realized I responded to the wrong comment. But regardless, thank you for the compliment. Have you heard their official demo? I was asked to play piano. What an honor. It’s called Opposite Shore.
@HIFIMIDI Wow, that's so cool!!! I will check them out. The Pipa and Zheng are all very beautiful, I think along with Native Instruments' Yangqin, a nice chamber ensemble is here already! :)

Amplesound has really been stepping up their game recently.

@@hifimidi Hope they do even more Chinese traditional instruments in the future. This is really impressive!
They are the only manufacturers who may be able to make a realistic indian sarangi VSTi...they are so natural 😍🙌🙏
Yeah they are starting to look like a baby EastWest at this point.
The actual prounication of "qudi" sounds like "chew de". Great review. I have their pipa product.
Sounds really great. Thanks much for the detailed info. It was faster to consume than reading the manual :-)

@@hifimidi Haha, I know! :) Chinese is not an easy language to learn, and being a Chinese myself, I do understand that!!! :)

Just a little correction: it doesn't need a physical iLok dongle, a free iLok account is enough for host-based authorization
Thanks. I’ll take that part out and add your info in the description.
Great video! Subbed & liked. Would love a copy, how do I participate in the giveaway?
Ample-sound have outdone themselves. This instrument sounds amazing. I was sitting here imagining some crescendos with taiko drums.
I think you mean Tanggu. This is Chinese, not Japanese.
😦🔥🔥🔥☝️awesome
What about time signatures? How many are offered? Thanks.
How to enter the give away draw? Thanks.
