  • CarPro Hydro2 Foam combines the coating properties of hydrophilic glass fibers and a foaming PH neutral was solution. You can now wash your car and coat with Hydro2 at the same time. The surfactants will gently lift and encapsulate dirt, greatly reducing wash induced swirls.

      How often we should use HydrO2 foam? Weekly washes on weekend! Or once in a 3-6 months?

    • @AMERIKIWI
      @AMERIKIWI 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I brought Hydr02 back in 2013 and have been using it ever since though I do now use Hydro Foam as I find it easier and better to use with the foamer and keeping car saturated during the process even after using the wash mitt. This way no rinsing until the whole car is done and if you are careful you can apply in the sun. Then pressure washing off from bottom to top, then top to bottom with the last stage using RODI water for a spot free dry. Love the stuff.

      Hi Brian, I have been using Hydrofoam for about 2 years now. On my car I do an annual polish with Carpro Essence, then two coats of Reload. After a month I apply Hydrofoam, and then once every 3 months afterward.
      I've used this on unprotected surfaces as well, after claying and iron decontamination, and have seen as much as 16 weeks of durability until complete failure. On my personal vehicle I like to add it when I see the sheeting results diminish, which is about 12 weeks avg.
      Any Bird Bombs, or bug splatter, I remove within 8 hours, and have never had any etching as a result, even in the summer, which is great compared to a normal wax or sealant.
      I've tried the others, Gyeon, Nanolex, and currently testing Adams wash/coat, The Gyeon and Nanolex avg 8 weeks. The Adams is easier to apply, I found initial sheeting wasn't nearly as good as Hydrofoam, but the Adams has a 2 hour cure time so it may do better on the first maintenance wash. It's only been on since last Friday so I can't state durability yet.

    hydro2 has been my go-to on all my cars. I believe I'll be moving to this every other wash. It seems to work as well as a wash and spraying of hydro, without the extra effort from both.

      @@apexdetail85 I too have cquartz UK on my car. Cure time is about 2 weeks old. My question is now what? Your video answers quite a bit, but I can over clean my car sometimes and I understand "Reload" can be my friend, but when washing (now with cquartz UK on) I don't want to do the wrong thing.

    • @xmreeves
      @xmreeves 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@rodsdaytona You can use Reload pretty much anytime you like, as a drying aid or after the car is dry. I use reload once a month and then something like hydrofoam can be used with each wash or every other wash. All the capro products work together so don't be afraid to experiment with them. I personally use reset or Adams car shampoo then use the new Carpro Elixer as a drying aid or Bead Maker which I also amazing. Another great product I use on wheels and the roof of my range rover is Hydro 2 lite.

    Just understand that when using it in a bucket wash it's not going to have lasting suds but that's ok, still has lots of lubricity...confirmed!
    Used this last night after the pre-wash with Bilt-Hamber in a 2BM wash and then did a post wash foaming when I was done to treat the paint with Hydrofoam, let it dwell for 10 minutes and rinsed, what a finish, THE GLOSS!

    I know that this video quite old, but would there be any issues with using the new Hydro2 foam verion with every wash if you didn't care about cost? That would be my preference. The way I personally plan to use it is to wash the car first with better soap like RESET, and then foam it with Hydro2 foam just before the drying process.
    It's so easy to do with this foam I say why not so long as there are no issues using it that regularly?

What was your dilution ratio of water and Hydro2 foam? i'm trying to wash and protect the paint on a single engine airplane, would you think the Hydro foam would do better or Hydro2 Touch-less Silica Sealant? Great video Brian. I appreciated hearing your input and watching your process. I'm new to this product line. I typically use Carbon Flex C9, which is a ceramic coating. I understand this is a silica based. I know C9 lasts approx 3 years, whereas Car Pro lasts approx 3 months. Does this product decontaminate the surface as a clay bar would or would you still recommend claying it prior to application with the foam cannon. On its face, I can see the benefit of going with the foam application if used for customers cars from a detailers perspective since you get more affordability and applications per bottle. As for my personal vehicle, the C9 would be the better way to go as I have less time for my own and more time for my customers. What are your thoughts? Much appreciated.

    I have never used Hydro foam. About 5 years ago I started using the hydro product and initially coated one vehicle with Hydro and another with cquartz UK. These were two of my own personal vehicles so I wanted to challenge the two products against each other. Both are garage kept vehicles and our work trucks. I have been extremely impressed with Hydro and have coated many vehicles with it. What I really like about the product is it it seems to clean easier and more quickly then cquartz UK. It also appears to self clean better once a vehicle has been dirty and out in the rain. much better than a C quartz coated vehicle. Of course cquartz UK will offer far more protection but I don't run my vehicle through car washes. So when you compare the time and effort it takes to use cquartz UK and install it versus simply spraying a vehicle with Hydro it's a pretty simple decision for me. I have had Hydro provide almost a year of protection. One thing I will Notate is that I work from home and average six to seven thousand miles per year on each of these two vehicles so they're not out in the elements near as much as someone who commutes to work everyday. Thanks for the great videos Brian keep them coming!

You could zip wax for the same results. This is just a way to charge folks more money and to feed ego. Detailing used to be honorable. I know that is why people do business, to make money. I could not look my customers is the eyes feeding them with this crap.
