Oscilloscopes are built into most editorial programs. Most people don’t understand the spectral anatomy of color balancing; I would advise you grab a book from the library (DO NOT GOOGLE IT) and nail it over a weekend.

Also, I’m not sure if it’s just me but my CapCut desktop did an update about a week ago and seems to be running so slow and laggy as sh!t ever since it’s to the point I’ve been most back to using Final Cut Pro instead and only using CapCut for captions. :(

Great info thanks. We’ve got great sunsets here and sometimes I want to video the sunset.when I look at the sun it seems detailed but when I zoom in with my iPhone it looses its contrast. Is there a way to create more contrast?
Set your video capture format to Apple ProRes in settings. Never zoom in more than 3x on your phone. After 3x its digital, and looks like garbage. While pointing at sunset, press and hold on your iphone screen till it says AE/AF lock and drag the slider down until you get more detail in the bright areas, THEN hit record. In post you'll have more to work with when you color correct. Let me know if this helps!
if you have 1 clip where the lighting and/or color changes, say ahot inside then outside, would you want to cut those into 2 clips and color correct/grade them separately?

Well, grandson, it's time we had this talk. Most of my viewers are dudes. Dudes like pretty girls. Megan is a pretty girl. If I put a pretty girl on my thumbnail, showing what she would look like before and after color grading, dudes are more likely to click.
But I'm testing this! You'll see the thumbnail change every hour for a few days. You'll know which image was more clickable because that's the one I'll keep.
If you need more information on this topic, talk to grandma.

@@P6motivate well, I kind of just got old and skipped the wisdom part. In most ways, I’m still pretty much 18. It sounds like you’ll have better luck aging than I’ve had.
You can talk to my baby brothers, and they will confirm my lack of wisdom and maturity. You can also confirm that with my kids. My grandkids haven’t figured it out yet, but I relate to them quite well.

@@P6motivate ya, I don't know either! 😂 But I do know the current thumbnail had a CTR of 4.21 and this one had a ctr of 4.89, so it won.
Capcut is getting saturated and everyone please shift into pp or ae or Davinci or you'll be out of field
I would disagree. There are about 3 million videos uploaded daily. 90% of them will fail to reach an audience because the creators aren’t putting in any effort. So of the 900k videos that have any content quality at all; not just memes or reposts, you have a daily audience of 122 million daily users, and 2.77 billion monthly users.
I’d say the odds are in anyone’s favor who puts effort in. Not against them.
In other words, just be good at something. Don’t practice everything and be the best at nothing. Words of wisdom.
