What do you think about this method of growing potatoes in a greenhouse? Please let me know your opinion
I think your method is fantastic. This will definitely keep my potatoes from spreading and keep them contained in one spot. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Thank you for sharing all of your brilliant ideas.😂
Try not to use or limit usage of plastic, esp. the - one time use - straps
I think we should drink beer :D
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad you found the method useful for growing your potatoes. Happy gardening!
Haha, well maybe a cold beer and fresh potatoes from your own greenhouse would be the perfect combination!
This was a great tutorial start to finish! Even a recipe at end. I’m going to try this growing method for my first time growing potatoes! Wish me luck. 😅

Thanks for the chili pepper and garlic tip ti get rid of bugs! I’ll be trying that in Florida where the bugs are always terrible! I’ve never trimmed my potato plants… does that actually help?
Thanks for your feedback! I'm glad you found the method helpful.
It's great how you use all the resources available to you... shame, can't imagine this working quite the same in the UK!
Thank you for watching! While the method I shared may not work the same in the UK, I'm glad you found it interesting.
Nothing different
I found success with growing potatoes doing this: Put potatoes in a dark room until the eyes grow out. (Eyes/Buds/Sprouts) put an onion in the potato bin to speed this process along. Put the entire potato in the dirt and cover. It’s pretty cool. Good luck
Thank you for sharing your success with growing potatoes! It's always great to hear about different methods that work.
Thanks for your posting. We need clarity, voice, name of materials and interpretation of operations
Thank you for your feedback! I appreciate your suggestion and will definitely keep it in mind for future videos.
It seems like I smell fried potatoes right here next to me.😂❤
Es muy interesante, a poner en práctica. Gracias por la demostración. Bendiciones.

Haha, I know right? Who knew potatoes could be so sneaky and grow differently in a greenhouse? Nature never fails to amaze me!
what is the plant they chop up at start?
It is a banana tree that retains moisture so the potatoes can germinate@@everythingisIAM

Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad the video was able to help you and I hope you have a successful potato harvest!
As long as you find "eyes" on your potatoes you can cut them into multiple "plugs" with atleast one eye and plant straight into the ground our your container. Cement is not necessary. Cement is actually not organic so chemicals are a concern. All the amendments to the soil and your mulching is great. Building planters with recyclables and the covers is really good. Especially if the weather is questionable. The only big concern is pollinators having access because of be8ng in the greenhouse.
Thanks for the valuable tips on growing potatoes indoors!
Pollinators are not needed unless you are trying to grow seeds.
Actually, the use of honeycomb charcoal (coal) is undesirable for growing food as it gases out toxic gases and leaves heavy metal residues.
@@kend3800 Charcoal and biochar, a form of charcoal, and coal are entirely different forms of carbon. Google them.
Thanks 💯👏👏👏
I thought it was a great way to grow potatoes that are mostly uniform in size. I like how you removed a lot of folliage and they still grew so well. In the beginning you cut a stalk of something, but I am not sure what that plant was. I didn't quite understand the use of cement applied to the cut side of the potatoe, but it seemed to work. Would wood ashes also work in place of the grass and rice hulls? Thanks for sharing your technique!!
That stalks are the body of old banana tree.
Thank you for your feedback! I'm glad you found the method helpful.

Thank you for your kind words!
What is that stuff you cut at the beginning to put the potato in?
The potatoes doubt was grown - As the tuber is just independent of the root stalk !! Literally this person video has no root but just has huge potatoes !!
Thank you so much for pointing that out! I'll make sure to include more information about the root stalk in future videos.
Very nice
Thanks! I'm stoked that you liked it!
very good
Thank you for your positive feedback!
Pruning can help redirect the plant's energy towards potato growth. It's usually done when the plant has reached a certain height.
❤
😍LOVE 💖❤💕
Thank you for watching! That's a potato plant I'm trimming in the video.

Thank you for your support!
Burying the cut part of the potatoes in cement helps prevent rotting and promotes healthy growth.

The material and expenses are more than the harvest
No. just 5$
Too much work, and so contaminating. Try a different style of farming.
Thank you for your feedback! It's important to consider different perspectives and find the farming style that suits your needs.

kaka. thank for watching
What is he using? The vegetable he puts the potatoes in… anyone know what it is?
it is onion :)
Someone said stalk of old banana plant.
What material are you using for chitting the potatoes
We are using organic seed potatoes for chitting in this video.
Banana stalks, that's pretty cool but they are not necessary. Google chitting.
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll look into it!
Kentangnya mabtab
Kentangnya mabtab! Sounds like a magical potato spell! 🥔✨
Thank you for watching and sharing your experience!
Impossible to have nice tubers like that from weak plants
Thank you for your feedback! It's true that growing healthy and productive potato plants can be a challenge, but with the right techniques and care, you can definitely achieve great results.
Too bad he doesn't recycle the styrofoam bins... could just cut a square panel, re-tape it, etc, instead of destroying the container... I don't destroy the box planter every time I harvest.. just "un-pin" the one side and harvest / replenish the soil... Other than that, is a great idea. I'm unsure about concrete on bottom of potatoe... maybe dip in wax instead?
This looks like a staged planting video. No roots were found during or while harvesting the large potatoes. Small potatoes ... yes there are roots.
Who knew potatoes could be so attached to their roots? It's like they're saying, "We're not going anywhere!" 😄
What is the Mixture in the bag? what are it contains?
I don't understand your question. Can you say it again?

I wouldn't add cement either. What happened to natural food production?
Who needs cement when you have potato magic?
but why? because it keeps warmer?
But the what does the cement do?
Cement heals cuts and prevents bacteria from rotting

I can't tell you how many times I said WTF during this video. Crazy but it worked for you.

There's so many questionable things about this video...cement? soap suds? trimming? trellising?...🤷♀
Cement and soap suds in the garden? Sounds like we're building a potato castle!
Why did you use cement to prevent rot? Wasn’t there another option? Seems unnatural.
Cement heals cuts and prevents bacteria from rotting

The harvest doesn't add up,
Maybe the potatoes are staging a rebellion in your greenhouse!

Hey for just few stalk it resulted on so much potato???it seems your video is not convincing sorry just my opinion
Hey, thanks for sharing your thoughts! I get it, the results might seem too good to be true. But trust me, with the right techniques, you'll be harvesting potatoes all year round! Keep watching for more tips and tricks!
