This is by far the longest and undoubtedly one of our favorite travels ever. We've spent a long 10 day trip to Japan (3 days in Kanazawa, 4 days in Kyoto & 3 days in Osaka). This is our first time in Japan, however we decided to not go to Tokyo mainly because we really wanted to see something we've never seen before (Don't get me wrong, we have Tokyo first on the list once we plan on coming back to Japan). With that being said, we decided to visit one of Japan's World Unesco Heritage Site, the beautiful Shirakawa-go.
Please do take note, we went during August and we simply underestimated the heat! We strongly recommend avoid visiting during summer as it was a struggle going one place to another under the sun. We initially had a long list of places to go to however, we were too drained to walk with the intense heat (we actually had lots of breaks indoors to not only rest but to avoid the sun).
Nevertheless, Japan is very rich in culture and our eyes were just overwhelmed in what we could see around us. Despite this being a long 10 day trip, there was just too much to see but too little time! We will definitely come back to Japan!
