THIS is what I wanna do! But I also have this idea of possibly making my main business aspect being floriculture; so growing beautiful ORGANIC flowers that I can sell to florists and other vendors but also have a florist business on the side where I only do like 2 events a month 🤔 I love the idea of ensuring costumers and vendors get flowers without the extra chemicals 🥰
Hello I love your video. I have been a florist for 38 years with my florist, I am now a garden center. And yes all you are saying is 💯. Also, just to mention the paperwork and or administrative part of your florist. Wonderful career. Lots of hard work. Awesome ❤
Great video!❤ I do floral arrangements for my church and yes it involves a lot of work! People never ever realize it either. They see the after results and think, oh I can do that but they don't realize the time and effort it takes to go get all those flowers, lug them in side, and then the prepping! No one gets and understands how much time and effort goes into prepping all those flowers!!! You don't just stuff them into a vase! All the stems have to be stripped of the leaves and cut at an angle... and especially in my work with my church, I am making these floral arrangements to last and not just for one event! These need to last as long as possible so upkeep is another thing. Occasionally some people have helped me and they didn't realize how much time and effort goes into doing what I do which is why I don't have anyone else ready to step in and do exactly what I do! 🫣 I have occasional helpers but no one who could replace me 100% right now. It's a long ongoing commitment. Anyways, great video and reality check for people!❤
Its literally the most wonderful job, but as with many other jobs you have to do it with your whole heart. I live for busy days, standing 10+ hours, having cuts all the time, stinky water, finding alternatives because special flowers didnt come etc, I honestly love every single part of it every day because floristry is my passion. If it's not I'd recommend another job, if it is though, go for it girl! If you ask me it's the best job in the world and you will literally never be bored at work ever again!🎉🌸

I am new to my floral business. It feels good to see someone who looks like me...well... my daughter 😂😂😂. I'm in NJ, right over the bridge. I'll keep an eye out for any of your events. New to your channel and sub!!
Omg hey!! I love that you are close by. If you ever are looking to freelance work, I often have events in Philly/nj area. DM me on Instagram and I’ll keep you on my list 🌸
I’m a young 20 year old florist and sales person at a really nice small flower shop. Wonderful team and love what I do but it is extremely physically exhausting and isn’t sunshine and rainbows all the time. But if you love what you do, you’ll find ways to adapt to harsh physical conditions and also to take care of your physical health like exercising and having a good balanced diet.
Well being florist having your own shop means you’re the bus which means you decide your work hours not the work besides which hours you’re there. Have fun.
thanks for the tips! I've put in two resumes to flower shops in my area this week. I've only done bonsai tree training before. do you think there's overlap?

I really love flower arranging and I want to start a business. But it’s a really saturated market. What’s your advice?
i disagree people say that about all businesses from hair, lashes clothing brands, nails businesses if you really want it anything is possible
thank you for warning in advance😍
Being a florist sounds fun but I don’t wanna sacrifice my weekends😭

I'm already on my feet all day, I grow my own flowers, I have no social life. I'm sold 😊❤

I believe that botany and floristry can overlap, but over all are very different careers. Did they end up getting back to you?
@@Flowersbyalexis nope lol
Thank you
