The last time i watched BSG Deadlocked was when Enter Elysium playing it and he was so bad at using the Artemis that my expectation is low from it. And if I remember, they have almost as much armor as the Adamant but i do see strength in numbers.
They did do some changes to stuff since the Beta that Enter played. The Artemis is a lot more fearsome a ship now. (And the Mk2 vipers are *way* less powerful against capital ships)
While playing Deadlock, at least on Admiral difficulty, it was a rare mission when any number of Cylon ships of various classes didnt jump onto my flank at close range. The only ones that didnt were Basestars & Cerberus class, every other ship would just appear. Savage if that cylon had missiles or fighter wings while my defending Vipers were away from my battle group in offensive strikes.
Phil Frye that's why my go to formations are line abreast and line astern. Cuts out every blind spot and allows for brutal punishment to be handed down on any that dare to try such a cheap trick
Pretty impressive. I always wondered if their is a limit to how short of a jump they can preform with their FTL. I hope that this game allows other sci-fi stories to take into account cyber warfare. We hear about it if you pay attention but it’s never in any real forefront.
I know it's mentioned in the background of Mass Effect but that's pretty much it. Also, while a fun idea between hardwired connection and encryption it's actually quite easily counterable.
Was the new bit of canon about the ambush of the 28th bsg created by the folks over at Slitherine, or did they give you free reign to play around with some lore in the video?
The battle was described in the brief I received. But I threw in some visual background elements, came up with some ship names and laid out the exact locations.
I think the bit about the ftl is a bit of a plot hole. The Colonials already have tech like that. They can jump entire fleets in tight formation, rendezvous with other ships via a single jump without post-jump manoeuvres or burns and the 2nd gen Raptor can easily ftl snipe a planets' troposphere from several light years away no problem, as seen in the reimagined show (with the notable exception of that one poor bastard who jumped his plane into a mountain).
Hey Spacedock! Can you tell me which OST is playing right in the beginning? Sounds kinda like a "The shape of things to come" & "Passacaglia" mashup. If anyone else can tell me feel free to answer!
What I don't understand is when all the crap hit the fan why they run away instead of jumping into Cylon space and destroying their home worlds there shipyards
so you'd think jumping the (assuming) entire human fleet with unessecary risk just to impact the cylon of their main production line while others are still active and can strike them back? not to mention the fleet won't probably survive considering how protected a homeworld is, it's just a waste of resource that's like saying "we should throw everything into berlin in world war 2 to destroy the germans" which didn't happen and i glad it didn't
You also need to know *where* the Cylon bases are in order to touch them. Which the Colonials didn't. And even if they had they lost their entire fleet in a short space of time. Only a lucky few survived their first encounters by pure happenstance (Networks down or hadn't loaded Baltars nav programme yet). And they were quickly overwhelmed by superior numbers
And now you know why Battlestars basically have no deadzones.
I like it, it’s design reminds me of the “Spirit of Fire” from Halo
Ikr
I knew this thing looked familiar!

They are already releasing DLC? Yes please.
When I saw this, I was like “This I haven’t seen before so what the heck is this!?!”
Also can you do a review of Battlestar Theseus Sobek class Gunstar that was shown in Diaspora: Shattered Armistice?
Holy fuck, yes please.
Nice bro hi from puerto rico
Phobos: "Omae wa mou shindeiru."
Colonial Fleet: "NANI?!?"
The First Cylon War was an eye opener for humanity on how scary the Cylons are.
Because Nemesis corvettes aren't troublesome enough. Geez.
diapason89 because colonials can just spam three Jupiter class Battlestars which reduces their capability of spamming torpedoes
That tactical FTL ability is going to be brutal
Hah, three Jupiter classes... Try five Artemis classes.

Wow I definitely like the first war-era Cylon navy better
One of these FTL'd to the damaged side of my Galactica. Mfer actually managed to kill the Galactica.
Thanks for this. I just discovered the Phobos last night and it almost took out my shipyard at Sagittaron 😉
What program do you use to make your tactical maps? They look amazing!

Frighteninin is this something that has been added to the game or is gonna be apart of a larger DLC

This is supposed to be 50 years before 2nd Cylon War though right? Maybe the Colonials don't have that tech yet.

That's an unnamed track from the BSG Deadlock OST by Ash Gibson-Greig.

Such an ugly ship. Looks like an unfinished concept, nowhere near as detailed as it should be for a kilometer length vessel.
you won't need that much detail as you won't be able to see them up-close in the game anyways
