SWM RS300R Exploring Single Track

On September 1st 2018 I went for a ride not too far from town with two brave Shineray riders to explore some new single track trails in the mountains. Two meter tall grass and rockfall are some of the challenges we had to face. This is our ride.

Hi there Beijing Off Road Adventures. Im looking at getting an SWM 300 so I'm really enjoying the videos.
How many Km have you done on the bike?
Have you had any problems?
How many Km's do you do on bitumen/tramac roads and how many on dirt?
Have you fitted a cush drive to the rear rim?
I would really like to get this bike for dual sport riding but a few people have said riding it on the road will kill it.

gari jarmany Hey thanks for stopping by! So far I’ve done 8500km in 20 months, so just under 2 years, at least 60% of that is on paved roads. I haven’t had any major problems except for the clutch master cylinder leaking oil. Had that replaced under warranty and it’s been good since. I’m running DOT rated knobby tires on the front and rear (Pirelli MT21) and I’ve balanced both wheels with spoke weights. It’s definitely not a road bike and the only reason I do road riding on it is to get out of the city and onto the dirt, I ride on the highway too, bike tops out at 145km/h with the stock gear ratio. Don’t expect it to be comfy on the road, it vibrates a lot and the seat is hard. But as soon as you hit the trails none of that matters. In my opinion the bike is more enduro/trail riding oriented.

Beijing Off Road Adventures cheers mate really appreciate tge reply. Good to know its doing well thus far. Im interested in using it for the same purpose as you. The dealer selling the bike told me not to ride it on the road. What are the maintenance intervals? How many km do you get out of tank. Cheers. Happy riding.
