  • Today I am terminating medium red clover and a 19-way cover crop mix with my Lemken Rubin 10 and my 8320R. Soil conditions were really good for mid April. I wanted to get the cover crops worked in and killed early so i can hopefully use my Hatzenbichler tine weeder for my first blind cultivation pass after planting.
Most importantly, I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires. They will say, "What happened to the promise that Jesus is coming again? From before the times of our ancestors, everything has remained the same since the world was first created".
They deliberately forget that God made the heavens long ago by the word of his command, and he brought the earth out from the water and surrounded it with water. 2 Peter 3: 3-5

I’d never even use row markers if all technology ceased to exist for whatever reason, because they exceed my tolerance for soil disturbance. I’m poking fun at myself, not how you do things. Hope you have a great year.

How many passes to terminate the red clover? Do you find 1 does it? Have heard it's usually 2 with a Rubin 10.

Yes, it takes 2 passes. I usually make one pass at a 5 degree angle, then come back a few days to a week later and make another pass at the opposing 5 degree angle to make an “X”.
