I'm gonna restore one in the same black/silver paint scheme but with an all glass chimney like some of the Japanese model Aladdin heaters. They are gorgeous with the fully exposed blue flame in full veiw.
@@ALL-AMERICANA I'm still looking for a good candidate to modify but the glass is available on amazon in the form of borosilicate hurricane candle holders. They are glass cylinders made of the right kind if glass in many different sizes. Price is reasonable too.
Nice job. May I ask you? Usage of epoxy paint just to avoid rusting? Also, i notice that the flame turn to yellow. Maybe you have to change the wick with a new one.
Yes I wanted a black and silver finish so I used black high temp paint on the chimney. I liked the metallic silver paint for the exterior heat guard. The flame was yellow because the wick needed to be changed and it wasn’t properly adjusted for the video. Works great now with no yellow flame. Thanks for the compliment and comment!
Nikolaos Karampolas I just realized I answered your question wrong! I thought you were referring to the paint, I apologize. The paint was used to prevent rust. The pc7 epoxy was used because there was a hole in the fuel tank. The PC 7 is a malleable putty that is not affected by kerosene fuel so it worked great at sealing the leak and filling the dent.
That is a Vintage Aladdin Blue Flame H2201 or H2202 / series 8. Made in Great Britain. Parrafin or in the USA Kerosene Heater. 1950s.. The Alladin company started around the beginning of the 1900's
@@ALL-AMERICANA It was made from the 50's onwards on that model number from what i found on the net. I just bought one on ebay UK. and looked them up. People are selling them up to £450. I found one for £150 in amazing condition with a brass coloured tank. Same model as yours.
@@ALL-AMERICANA Wow you did well at that price. Yours looks amazing after the work you put into it. They are desireable in the UK. The japanese still make them. Not this model but still beautiful. They still use the Aladdin name too. The Japanese Aladdins are very pricey but sell very well! Look em up on youtube. Theres hundreds of vids on these bad boys.
Wow...nice job cleaning that up.
Thanks
Good 👍 heart ❤️ 🌹

Nice! Let me know if it works out. And where to get the glass. I’d like that too!
