Heavy, stable trawler taking the weather with virtually no pitching or rolling. He is at a good clip tho. I'm in the USA but your video made me feel like I was there. Enjoyed it twice.

It is a beautiful little ship with good weight ballast and the right power. The propeller matching is perfect and good enough to bring it up to its natural speed. The bow and rear wave are just right and it lifts its bow at a slow acceleration to give a comfortable ride to those on her. The pitching and rolling are damped correctly and at a comfortable frequency for the working sequence desired. The manner in which it ploughs through those small waves means that the designer was excellently experienced in what to add at the right position in that hull. The propeller is biting all the time where the full story is told by the manner in which the water leaves the transom, In view of all this , it is an economical ship indeed with a the seaworthiness and comfort.
A few years I made a study of the cutwater designs and the flare at the bows including the bow angle for fishing small vessels from Scotland, England, Greece, Sicily Greece and Malta. It seems that the design chosen fits the sea sailed on. The Mediterranean people like a lot of flare at the bows but this causes large accelerations and one cannot work on the front deck .
I think the British MFV that I saw at the NE coast around Newcastle with the little flare they have as this one in the video, the bows do not accelerate up too fast and it calls for a comfortable ride. The old reliable Gardner engines were nice to look at ane hear working, I personally do not like high revvving modern engines.
Every sea vessel has a character, but I prefer a little of the yesteryear era with some wood trimmings and the old smell of the ropes.
