- The iconic Valk speedcube line from QY Cube, formerly known as QiYi MoFangGe is being discontinued, so we thought we would have a look back and reminisce over the Valk series, and its impact on speedcubing and cube hardware.

The Valk soul lives on with the X man series
Qiyi's only great best selling puzzle for me is the valk 3 series

Well, they may not have The Valk now, but the Tornado V3 is the best 3x3 in the market right now.
im definitely gonna miss these cubes, let’s hope whatever they follow up with can live up to this legacy!
they'll definitely be focusing on their X-Man line of puzzles more now. definitely would love to see a X-Man 5x5 in the near future

It's a shame to see this iconic line discontinued, the Valk 3 is still one of my favorite cubes to use! I'm excited to see what QiYi releases next!
I remember watching all those videos about the Valk 3 Elite, raving about how it was one of the first cubes with changeable magnets, and thinking it was so cool with the center caps being what had the magnets you could change. Realistically, that was pretty clunky compared to what we have now with things like Gan cubes only needing to quickly change the magnets on all the corners once. Honestly, the main thing I'll remember the Valk cubes for is how much Jperm dislikes the Valk Power.
I agree that it’s more clunky because it’s not built into the cube, but I think it might be the fastest adjustment system, because the tornado v2 and wrm 2021 have 24 magnets to change, and the velite has 6
@@WangYiheng347 the gan 11 m pro has 8, and you just need to pull the ever thing with a screwdriver meanwhile on the valk you need to take the center caps off, put them back on, and put them back in the box it came in

I still remember when the first valk cube came out and how amazing it felt.
The Valk 3 M was my first speedcube ever, even after so long i still know how using these cubes felt. It felt like heaven. I mean it is like that no matter what speedcube u use, it's for the first time u will love it

randomly coming back to watch some cubing videos and this is wild. i need to get a regular valk cube since i only have a LE 3x3
the valk 3 is the best. have had it for 4.5 years and it holds up well.
Coming to cubing a little late, only cubing now for a couple of years, I got myself a Valk 3 Elite about a year and a half ago. Great puzzle… but after seeing you say that some people still prefer the base Valk 3 or 3 M.. makes we wanna try that. Not sure it could compete with the CH Tornado V2, or the 11 M Pro though… so this might slip into the abyss.
I was doing a few competitions in 2015-2017, I fell back on my old valk, I wanted to see what it was offering again and it is with sadness that I discover that it is no longer being done 😢
Kinda sad, that the valk line is discontinued now
The valk elite was one of the best cubes. It was one of the first interchangeable magnetic cube and also had to change only 6, whereas these days like with the MGC Evo and Tornado, we have to change 24!

R.I.P Valk. After getting my gan 251m pro .I heard that the valk was also a really good cube. So I searched all cube online stores including Speedcube shop but it was showing disscontinued then I found this video R.I.P valk

of the valk(s) that i have the vale 5m in white stikerd is my favoret becus it is the only 1 that i have

I like the performance of the Valk3 and valk elite equally. But I ended up maining the Elite between the two because it has a super soft feeling and was very quiet. If someone can still find either at a cube store i do generally recommend the valk 3 original due to having much better value overall in price.

I have a Valk 3 Power (non magnetic) and it was so dry and catchy out of the box and moved so bad that I only use it for underwater cubing. I have never bought a Valk again.

Technically it’s 56mm. At least when I was a Cuber in 2016 cubes were always measured in mm, standard speed cubes at 56mm, rubiks brand at 57mm, and then “mini” (>50mm) 3x3s for one hand
