It’s also nice that the person is a classy gentleman, who treats people well and presents himself well. You can be true to yourself and be an excellent musician. You don’t have to be from the other side of the tracks or be a lush to be successful. The feeling comes from your heart whoever you are and whatever you have.

Actually he was getting out of his car at his house. Won't say who I am but we got the call just as the ambulance arrived. He is a nice man and yes he has been through lots. Larry is a Christian and God has a way of pulling his own through😊
He was shot right outside his home in Ca. On Solid Ground was his CD right after he recovered. Humphreys Concerts by the bay San Diego , Ca. One of the greatest guitarist ever. True genuine gentleman ! 🤗👍
I just started listening to Larry Carlton. This is a great introduction. I should also mention this is my first time hearing SWR Big Band. They sound awesome.

I've been an LC fan forever but I'm really impressed with that band. The trombone section is out of this world. A fantastic mixing/recording job. You can pick out your favorite flavor of instrument and clearly hear it.
When you compare this recording to one in the 1990ies, Larry is definitely playing way less notes per minute these days, but the music makes more sense now. Great to see even a musician of this caliber mature over the years. And of course the hair is much better than in the 90s.

L'EXTRA TERRESTRE de la musique un de ceux ( avec l'autre DIEU absolu pat metheny) qui m'a emmené le plus haut dans les étoiles .que dire de plus sur ce génie absolu si ce n'est qu'en plus d'être un dieu c'est aussi une crème de garçon d'une gentillesse d'une humilité d'une disponibilité totale !!!!!!!!!!!! Larry is my favorite guitarist. I've seen him play bebop in the traditional way, and then it in the modern way. He's the best.
