  • WARNING: Going to the ROM/MCU version section in the test mode will factory reset your Furby.
    That is all I have to say.

    Ayy, taking furbies apart since we were little solidarity! 🤝 I didn't think other people did that! Just like my dad, I love to timker and always have! I'm far better at it now though and know how to not break my furbies in the process

    There is also a moter test mode if you put the battery in and hold the reset button in right when it starts moving it will start movie back and forth until you stop pushing the reset button but this only works on 2012 furby's not furby boom

      Huh. I guess it’s just a side effect of how it’s programmed.

    How are your videos always so awesome??? 😃 Honestly, I'm so glad someone out there makes content like this, I hope you know that if you ever feel it's redundant, it has someone out there very entertained! The someone being me, as it's often right up my alley how you experiment with things like this, especially furbies, as it seems like I know them insude and out and then I see things like this that prove me wrong again! I wonder if 2005 furbies have a factory test mode too?

      They do. I don’t have one, but I used my friend’s. I’m the same way. I’ve been finding test modes since I was probably 5 or 6.

      I don’t know too much about it, but here is what I figured out.
      To get into it, turn it upside down, hold the back and belly sensors, and turn it on. Keep holding the sensors for a few seconds, then let them go and flip it the right way. Once you’re in, you can use the belly and back to test the motors. After that, it does a series of weird beeps. I don’t know what to do from there. Maybe it’s waiting for voice commands? If you have one and can try it, let me know if you find anything else.

    This stuff is awesome! I never knew that these furbies had a factory test mode mode!

    I’ve figured out what some of the other modes do. When I get mine fixed, I’ll do a video going over everything.

      Btw, be careful when you do this on the 2012s and/or later because, if you go to the section where it shows the rom/mcu versions, it will wipe ALL of its memory and set it to factory defaults. That means that any names your furby learned will be gone and the personality would be set to the default one. Please, if you really want to try this yourself, do it on a furby you don't mind starting over again on. Trust me, it will save lots of pain. I think I may have said it a little too late considering this comment is a week old, but please keep this in mind.

    • @The_One_Time
      @The_One_Time  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Well, since I've never owned or handled a Phoebe, no.
      Plus, the people who made Phoebe probably wouldn't bother making a test mode on such a barebones knockoff, much less be aware of and use the same methods for the test modes on 2012s, Booms, Connects, etc.

    • @The_One_Time
      @The_One_Time  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      2005's have a different method. I suppose you hold down both the belly and back sensor and turn it on (similar to the 1998s) to enter the test mode. The little "test" contact seems to be only on the 2012 Furbys and later.

      @@colossaltrunck1699 Uh... Hate to break it to you, but there isn't a video anywhere that I know of showcasing the factory test mode of a 2005 Furby. And, since I don't own a 2005 Furby (yet), I can't record a video demonstrating it, nor can I fully confirm it. The only reason why I even know 2005 Furbys likely have a test mode in the first place is because 2098 Robotics made a comment on this video talking about it. But here's the problem. He can't record a video demonstrating it. Why? Because, according to him, he's only done it on a friend's 2005 Furby as 2098 Robotics doesn't have one of his own. At the very least, he knows how to access it, so hopefully, that's helpful enough for you. After all, 2098 Robotics is known to have a knack for finding test modes, so he's likely being truthful.
