    Hi! I went to the salon to bleach my hair. I needed my roots bleached and my hair to be toned afterwards. I wanted platinum white blonde hair, but instead I was left with breakage and a muddy color. I share my experience with you and everything that happened at the salon.

    I am an EMT and I am in medicine school.
    I wish people realize someone COULD LITERALLY DIE FROM AN ALLERGIC REACTION, the moment they realice it was an allergic reaction they should have called 911, and never never never give any kind of medication unless you are a physician.
    I'm really glad you are fine, but please make a patch test in your arm before applying any product to your skin.

      @michellelilley9895 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I understand your point however, It's only over-the-counter medicine and you do not need any medical knowledge to access this. The allergic reaction did not result in vomiting, diarrhea, or fainting so I personally think the staff did the correct thing in not escalating the situation. Instead, they removed the product and kept the client calm and comfortable.
      I think the biggest lesson the staff can learn from this is to do a patch test on the skin 48hrs before to avoid this altogether! Also, for people coloring their home as well. A young girl in England died after coloring her hair at home, it's really rare but it can certainly happen!

    When it comes to your hair as long as you are a nice person it’s okay to have a conversation about realistic goals for your hair. 40 volume should never ever ever been used on you. 40 is too strong for pretty much anyone

    I'm so sorry!! I watched your videos as I was preparing to dye my hair blonde, they were great. Now that I'm about to do my roots I appreciate the info, I was told to use a 10 volume developer for my roots (with bleach) and the same for the toner. I hope you're hair will be beautiful for your wedding! Please update us, and I'm definitely not going to a salon, my hair turned out pretty great after Bleaching, so hopefully my root touch up will be ok.

    To hell with "the salon." No run-of-the-mill colorist could get the result that I get from doing my own bleaching at home.

    Girl I’m so sorry!! I’ve had some bad experiences at the salon! I had gotten highlights to the point where there wasn’t much of my dark hair left. I went in asking to go full blonde….I thought weaving out the dark strands was the technique…instead she just threw bleach all over my head. I would have paid anything for her to just weave out those dark ones, money and time was never a problem. I came out all different shades, hair broke off and I hair was 3 levels darker (mind you I was a level 10 on 80% of my head). I ended up going to dark. After a year and a half of hard work went down the trash, it still traumatizes me lol

    I hate when hairdressers think they know everything
    Your regrowth is way darker than the rest of your hair because the 40 volume does lift quick but doesn’t lift enough so it gets stuck at a yellow and it won’t have the same tone as the rest

    Ughh so 1 week before Christmas last year, i went to a salon to get my roots done. It was a gift from my boyfriend because i have been bleaching my own hair at home for over 5 years and he knows how much work it can be. So i went to the salon. With white hair, about 1 inch of brown re growth.
    When i got there i noticed that the bleach was already mixed and sitting there waiting for me which i found weird. I'm not a hairdresser but i have def never pre made my solution and just let it sit.
    She didn't use foils, just painted it straight onto my scalp all the way to the mid length of my hair 😮. She didn't put anything on my neck or ears to protect from the bleach either..
    She washed it out and it was obv yellow. She asked if i wanted it toned. I said "well the rest of my hair is white... the point was to have my roots done and leave with all white?"
    So she said okay and went for the toner. I don't know what kind she used but it was SO dark. This ashy lavender... Not only was it way too strong, she left it on for like 15 minutes under heat. I'll never claim to be a hair dresser but everything seemed wrong and what i ended up with proved my suspicion.
    After she rinsed she warned me 'it could be a bit darker'. I was like ok but wasn't tooo worried. Then she dried my hair and i almost cried. It was so dark. Like charcoal.
    I said, this isn't white! This is NOT WHITE. This isn't what i came in here with 😧😧😫
    She told me to use a lot of clarifying shampoo and it would fade.
    I left, got clarifying shampoo and found out really fast how much it was damaging my hair.
    My hair was just breaking off. Either from her over use of bleach, too long of rubber l toner, or just strong drying out shampoo.
    I'll check to back. In felt back bad for my bf because he felt like it was his fault 😢.
    I have so much breakage.... but don't want to cut my hair 😭

    The other thing too is even if the color was the same because your hair is so damaged you’re not gonna be able to blend the extensions in because the extensions of course they’re going to look like healthy hair and your hair is gonna be all dry and frizzy and want to shrink up. At that point it almost becomes like a texture different like if you were to for example use kinky hair in your extensions obviously they’re not gonna blend if your normal texture is fine and the extension you chose the worst course in this example it’s almost like picking a different texture because the texture of the extensions is never going to match the texture of damaged hair. So even if they got the color completely right it’s still probably wouldn’t look right.

    • @MBeauty
      @MBeauty  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly the extensions blended seamlessly with my hair before, I wore them in my H&M spring try on haul video and you can't even tell where they begin. But that hairstylist really ruined my hair 😔

    At this reference picture, when your roots got bleached, your hair at the ends looked super fried at all… I don’t believe it all happened because of the root touch up. Therefore, 40 volume was too high. I agree there, but your hair wasn’t healthy at this point. Maybe it didn’t take the toner. It looks like the ends couldn’t take any chemicals anymore at all.

    This life is what you make it. No matter what, you're going to mess up sometimes, it's a universal truth. But the good part is you get to decide how you're going to mess it up. Girls will be your friends - they'll act like it anyway. But just remember, some come, some go. The ones that stay with you through everything - they're your true best friends. Don't let go of them. Also remember, sisters make the best friends in the world. As for lovers, well, they'll come and go too. And baby, I hate to say it, most of them - actually pretty much all of them are going to break your heart, but you can't give up because if you give up, you'll never find your soulmate. You'll never find that half who makes you whole and that goes for everything. Just because you fail once, doesn't mean you're gonna fail at everything. Keep trying, hold on, and always, always, always believe in yourself, because if you don't, then who will, sweetie? So keep your head high, keep your chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life's a beautiful thing and the🥰🥰

    • @MBeauty
      @MBeauty  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! Thank you so much! ❤️ Once you bleach your hair, you can't remove it (it basically burns through the pigmented layers of the hair strand) so if you want to go back to the way it was before, you need to dye it the color you want it to be. (Basically adding the pigment you want on top)

    • @MBeauty
      @MBeauty  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I didn't bring them since they matched my hair perfectly when I toned it every month, maybe I should've brought them, I can't argue there, but honestly I can't believe that's what she considers to be "white" after showing her photos of hair she has done that was white.(Maybe she edits them? Who knows)
