Is the hacker/cheater also stuck in the match for 2 hours or just the killer? Because I can't imagine how empty a person's life must be to spend 2 hours doing nothing just to disturb someone else
They are stuck with the killer as well. Their whole goal and life achievement is to piss other people off. I don't know what went wrong in their life but here we are dealing with these grimmlins

I straight away found out when she flashlight saved with no possible angle at all and the baby meg that i grabbed didn’t realise and the others were all pc. I tried to facecamp the hacker and tried to tell the others not to save her but they didn’t understand me and the hacking yun jin got away :/
What’s even more sad is that they were all pc and im console so I couldn’t inform them after the game so they probably thought i was being an asshole killer for no reason :(
yeah, i wish post game chat was available for all platforms, not just pc. it would be more annoying to type on console, but u can communicate w/ other platform players
It's mostly bigger streamers or just streamers in general that get held hostage. Hackers wouldn't have a reason to hold killers hostage without getting their reaction to it.
Honestly I'm more depressed that there are people hacking in low MMR. If people were just hacking against experienced players I could see "trolling" as a somewhat legit reason. But ruining the experience of new players actually makes them pretty pathetic.

I have dbd via the Microsoft Store on the PC ( GamePass ). If I sign in with a different Microsoft account, I can also play with a different dbd account without having to buy the game again or install it a second time.
People do these hacks should be recorded so they can be permanently banned. Like PlayStation needs to ban these people for life across all online games. It's just ridiculous

Just so everyone knows, as of May 2023, the server time limit has been reduced from 2 hours to 1 hour. So the hackers can only touch grass for half the time from now on. 😢

I'm sorry but this was uploaded on the 30 september 2022, BHVR released the update on cheating post early september 24. In this post it stated that the maximum length a game can go for has been cut down from 2 hours to 1 as of "soon". Honestly I wish they put a date on these things.
It would be easier if the killer just stops playing, if it's normal survivors in less than 10 minutes they should be able to get the Gens done, and maybe they can even cleanse totem, run a bit around the killer, etc., and then exit. But after that time they should be kicked out. It could be an implicit rule: if you want to get free, as soon as you see they are cheaters, you stop. But at the same time that match should be zero points for everyone... Uhm. It's hard to define that tho, because it would impact norm survivors who get an afk killer. Okay then maybe the killer has to wander first. Has to meet a survivor, at least. Just to realize he's cheating. If it starts by not moving at all, then it's points for the survivors if they get to the gates. I mean. Right? Does it have sense? Vote for me as your president and I will make it happen.

That or maybe you just don't notice the subtle ones. People that are using perks they don't have and you won't know unless you remember all those perks and check at the end screen. And if you have not been playing for that long, I can imagine you don't notice a 2-3% speed difference on them. That or they use short bursts of speed from the moment they lose line of sight on killer around a corner. Blatant hackers are more rare for sure, but at least those I have seen more in 1 week, than you have in 1 month... So yeh... Go figure :)
due many youtubers and streamers playing the game in a complete non stealthy way and people watching them making 360s, any kind of techs, clicky clicky the killer, tbaggng of course newers players are gonna try to emulate them like that dwight in the nurse game. they are terrible but they will try to emulate good players, still better than stealth gaming and doing nothing all game. when i started playing the game in 2018 everything was so different.

bro, 2 hackers in 2 diferent games, keeping hostage?, with the same streamer? i think this should be enough evidence for the devs to remove the time penalty XD i mean think about it, the reason people dont just quit games against hackers is mostly because of the time penalty, but if it was removed more people would quit on them, and hackers wouldnt have a choice but to either look for a diferent game, or give up hacking in DBD, cause... they basically cant play cause every game the moment they use hacks the game ends cause people quit on them
