This is a GREAT tutorial. I love your personality...the commentary made me laugh several times and the result is outstanding. Very interesting process...thanks so much for sharing. Now I've got to go check out all your other tutorials!
I got lost about 1/2 way thru and thought my oh my i'm off in left field and will never understand where you're going and then VOILA! There it was! Wonderful tutorial!!!
Thank you! Yes, sometimes it's like when watching someone painting with watercolors, you just keep seeing blotches and spots of colors and start thinking "what the heck are they doing?!?" and then it's like the touch of a magic wand, poof! and a marvelous picture appears.
I’ve never seen this technique you used, it looks awesome & I can’t wait to go & try it myself! :D Thanks for sharing this it’s great, I’m so glad I found & watched this. Anyway, great work as usual (as I’ve enjoyed watching other videos of yours) & thanks again. N.K :)
Wait. You were reducing away and suddenly the cane was all finished. How did you reduce it? Did you cut it in half at some point? Your feathers are beautiful and gave me a new achievement to which I can aspire. Thank you SO much.
Haha, no, each time I would cut a slice to have it for comparison, then cut about 1/3 of the cane and continue reducing that 1/3, then once it was reduced, again, cut a slice for comparison, then cut 1/3 of THAT can and continue reducing the 1/3, and so on, until I got to a 3 mm feather.
Oh, I see! What a legacy you have created with these videos. I wish they could all be gathered on a CD and preserved together. I'd like to have one for my polymer clay inspiration library You're a master teacher. I feel lucky to get to see your work and how you do it.
Thank you!. You might want to check the playlists I have on my channel, as I tried to gather them together by subject, and also on my website, where they are by degree of difficulty - and also there there are some that are not on youtube.
Thank you! I've been working with polymer clay pretty much since January 1990. But it wasn't my main thing, as I was doing more painting, computer graphics, and of course, have a job. I did mostly art doll sculpting, didn't have much time for other things. Decided to start sharing what I know after I recovered somewhat from cancer treatment.
Kalyana Design Tutorials Thank you so much for deciding to share. I watch many different poly clay tutorials and you have such a unique take on it. You are truly inspiring to make me think outside that box
