I visited the park for my very first time on Wednesday and had a great day! Icon was amazing and is my new number 1 coaster after 3 rides and i also did a ride on Enso which was insane and well worth £15 in my opinion once! I also did 2 rides on Valhalla and wow what a ride i was amazed and it exceeded expectations! Unfortunatley i didnt get on The Big One due to it been closed due to high winds which i was gutted about but we did get on Big Dipper, Grand National, Nickelodeon Streak, Avalanche, Infusion and The Ghost Train so still did well for rides and didnt wait over 40 minutes for a ride!
PB Express is currently being hauled by the 'Carol Jean' loco, and has been all season so far. Usually, it'd be 'Mary Louise'. I understand Carol Jean was having difficulty with the weight of the full length, and it was causing problems with wheelslip, so a few coaches have been temporarily removed. As for Alice, the changes are mostly paint and lighting, and general maintenance. It was looking a bit unloved by the end of last year
Hi Scott, great to see you back at your Alma Mater with another great update vlog. Disappointed with Mike, even though I’m a big fan of his. Moaning about a wheel seat on the Nash. A man of his experience would know where the wheel seats are upon queuing for the ride and should avoid such seats, or take his medicine. Additionally, my question is this. Does The Nash do enough to alert riders to the theme and original spirit of the ride? That is to emulate the most difficult and complex horse race there is? Me thinks not. I wonder if most casual riders would even know it is linked to the greatest steeplechase race held in the UK? My main love of the ride is that l see the names of jumps that happen in the race as I go round and can kind of imagine myself in the race, having two trains race each other helps massively with this. Avalanche is sort of similar, imagining myself being in a Bobsleigh at a Winter Olympics, hold on just compare and contrast the theming?
Scott throwing shade with the Hyperia hat haha. Good vlog as always lads. We're here on 22 June taking our friends who are not enthusiasts. Should be fun!
The park can do something bigger and better than detonator, a tilting seat 300ft monster drop tower like Ikaros at Grona Lund would be a spectacular addition.
27:23 I did see the cars running on Grand Prix on my visit on Wednesday been driven by the staff while i was in the queline for Icon and that makes sense why i saw a staff member walking and cleaning the track and area earlier on in the day!
Out of spite the Pleasure Beach should RMC the Big One and make it 1 foot bigger than Hyperia. It would be hilarious if RMC made the ride incredible as well and it turns out better and faster than Hyperia as well 🤣🤣
I love this channel, so honest and not just 100% happy after every ride like theme park worldwide. Your friend is it frank? In the green United top is great
Yeah they put that metal fence at the bottom of the last drop in around July last year, from what i've heard the splash from the boat was knackering the sensors that trigger the gas explosions
Glad to hear you enjoyed Valhalla. I’m going to be honest I actually think it’s better than how it was before the refurbishment, with the exception of the real snow no longer being in the cold room, and the lack of projection mapping as a missed opportunity, I really like some of the changes, especially the flying skeleton ghosts and the skeleton jump scare just after the lanterns😎 By riding it more or less as soon as it opens within the first hour of it being open you’ve got the best possible chance of things working unless there is an E stop. Apparently in order to reset the effects they’ve all got to be reset individually, I think that’s the main reason why Valhalla is always always been the way it is, if they could all be reset from one place I think that would make a big difference. But I’ve also noticed that all the new stuff like the already mentioned flying skeleton ghosts and the other new stuff seem to be the most reliable effects these days.
I did enjoy it on Monday but honestly I don’t see why it gets so much hype, too much of it I’m adjusting my poncho or how I’m sat to avoid getting wet through. I’d enjoy it so much more without the soaking.
While in the que for Icon i also saw staff riding the cars on Grand Prix, maybe testing them and getting them ready for the Grand Prix event soon maybe?
We was at Blackpool today and for a Thursday during half term (windy today) wasn’t to busy at all big one all day wind rockets off all day tested but wasn’t open I just get the feeling the pleasure beech needs some big investment and a new model no ice blast no river caves icon on one train no atmosphere at all in the park it’s a shame to see the park the way it is at the minute I do fear for its future
A Intamin HotRacer Coaster Constrution Update#1 for Blackpool Pleasure Beach in 2026 Opening Day so What You do think about it Your Experience Guide 🇬🇧
I love how you wore a Hyperia cap to the park, did you get any comments or banter from staff? I went to the Pleasure Beach Store on Tuesday with a Wickerman Hoodie on looking at a Icon Hooide and a member of staff said you can try it on if you want and i said "thanks, im looking for a hoodie for my visit as i can go to the park in this Wickerman Hoodie" and she said "well no not really, no we will welcome you no matter what" and i said "atleast im not coming to the park with a Hyperia Hoodie haha" and she just laughed and i replied with "its closed at the moment anyway" and she just said yeh haha. Lovely member of staff and had great banter!
The thing with Blackpool is you have to move with the times which they aren't doing.... sadly I think like a lot of companies it is too late for them...🤔
