Its been 5 years..do you still love them? I hope so :) Thursday has been one of my favorite bands since i was like 16 ..im.31 now... They never get old... Thursday, glassjaw and the deftones among a few other bands will always be my favorites
I used to have a mixtape VHS of my favorite music videos from Fuse and MTV that I'd play while getting ready for school. This was one of the videos on that VHS
Damn, the early 2000's were a great time to be alive. I was a teenager when this came out and I watched it repeatedly on FUSE, and even put this song on my MySpace player. Geoff always reminded me of my younger brother's friend. This song has gotta be like 15 years old now, but it still GOES OFF.
They used to play this on MTV back in the day. I think it was on TRL for a bit. This song is what got me into the band over 20 years ago. War All The Time.. Full Collapse.. Waiting.. some of my favorite albums of ANY band. Long live Thursday, Geoff and the boys🤘
So many memories with this song. Haven't listened to this song for years but I can still remember every lyrics like I was still 18 years old. Turning 40 this year!
Just checking in since I saw them LAST NIGHT in Austin for their 20 year tour of “War All the Time” - They STILL rocked it and it was amazing! Crowd was jammin too!
+fusium : I'm 40 also bud, don't know what led me to view this video, but I do recall that I purchased the lp, 'War All The Time' shortly after this single came out.
It’s so weird, I find myself thinking of this song randomly at times, even though i haven’t heard the song in over 10 years. It’s not like the song was that big a hit or that I was a big fan. Yet for some reason it just pops into my head now and then. All I remember is this came out during a bad phase of my life. Maybe that’s why I never forget the song.
Fun fact: this was written during a three day writing retreat ordered from their A&R because he felt the band needed a single for the album. The A&R was inspired by how Springsteen came up with "Dancing in the Dark" in the same manner.
Everyone else is lamenting the moments of a time now past while I'm still here enjoying my moment. Time flows too quickly for me to catch my breath long enough to recognize two decades of aging. Lol.

I remember rarely seeing this on mtv2 but I would lose my shit when it came on. Thursday used to feel like this secret band that only I knew about. I was so cool back then.....
To me, this song was great because it was just "radio-friendly" enough, while still maintaining the sound that made Thursday great. I'm really shocked this one didn't propel them to bigger heights as a band. I remember the "oh sh!t...." (in a good way) moment I had when I first heard it.
Lyrics: this is what you see when you look in my direction: incandescent corsets draw eyes tight like wires. this is how it feels, calling out but no one even hears the signals that we send over the air over the air over the air over the air. when you say my name, i want to split it from your lips and hide like whispers in the rain. when you say (when you say) my name (when you say it) i want to stop it in your lungs and collect all of your blood to put in the radio. is this how it feels when you dont even fit into your own skin? and its getting tighter, every day i'm getting smaller if i keep holding my breath i'm going to disappear. when you say my name, i want to split it from your lips and hide like whispers in the rain. when you say (when you say) my name (when you say it) i want to stop it in your lungs and collect all of your blood to put in the radio. there's no where to hide. they stole the love from our lives to put the sex on the radio. there's no where to hide. they stole the love from our lives to put the sex on. if i keep holding my breath, all of this will fade away. if you keep driving we'll be lying in the wreck. changing the shape, folding like an envelope to keep each other in. shattered glass, broken looks, and mascara gets washed away by windshield wiper blades safe, safe when you say (when you say) my name (when you say my name), i want to split it from your lips and hide like whispers in the rain. when you say (when you say) my name (my name) i want to stop it in your lungs and collect all of your blood to put in the radio. there's no where to hide. they stole the love from our lives to put the sex on the radio. there's no where to hide. they stole the love from our lives to put the sex on the radio. that's where we hide the love and lies and sex, on the radio.

Oh man i didn't know boys night out i don't know how i didn't stumble upon these guys back in the day they're super tight. armor for sleep i discovered them later on in 2006-2007
Idk about anyone else but I just turned 33 and this is my young teen years. My emo/punk days when hot topic and pac sun we're just starting and popular. Like ugh this is beyond nostalgic for me
You just turned 33 and you think your _teens_ were when hot topic was just starting and popular? Pally, I hate to inform you, but hot topic was already a huge phenomenon by the mid 90s when you were what, five years old? In 1996 it was already a fixture of malls everywhere. It was FOUNDED in 1989. Pacsun is even older. Get a grip.

I know a guy that played keyboard for them for a tour and he said they were the nicest guys. Also that their fanbase is an unwavering force. I can see why - I’m still a fan after all these years.

Lyrics:
this is what you see when you look in my direction:
incandescent corsets draw eyes tight like wires.
this is how it feels,
calling out but no one even hears
the signals that we send over the air
over the air
over the air
over the air.
when you say my name,
i want to split it from your lips
and hide like whispers in the rain.
when you say (when you say) my name (when you say it)
i want to stop it in your lungs
and collect all of your blood to put in the radio.
is this how it feels
when you dont even fit into your own skin?
and its getting tighter,
every day i'm getting smaller
if i keep holding my breath i'm going to disappear.
when you say my name,
i want to split it from your lips
and hide like whispers in the rain.
when you say (when you say) my name (when you say it)
i want to stop it in your lungs
and collect all of your blood to put in the radio.
there's no where to hide.
they stole the love from our lives to put the sex on the radio.
there's no where to hide.
they stole the love from our lives to put the sex on.
if i keep holding my breath, all of this will fade away.
if you keep driving we'll be lying in the wreck.
changing the shape,
folding like an envelope to keep each other in.
shattered glass, broken looks, and mascara gets
washed away by windshield wiper blades
safe, safe
when you say (when you say) my name (when you say my name),
i want to split it from your lips
and hide like whispers in the rain.
when you say (when you say) my name (my name)
i want to stop it in your lungs
and collect all of your blood to put in the radio.
there's no where to hide.
they stole the love from our lives to put the sex on the radio.
there's no where to hide.
they stole the love from our lives to put the sex on the radio.
that's where we hide
the love and lies and sex, on the radio.

Oh man i didn't know boys night out i don't know how i didn't stumble upon these guys back in the day they're super tight. armor for sleep i discovered them later on in 2006-2007
Don't forget story of the year, the used, sugar cult, lol I can go on and on
Idk about anyone else but I just turned 33 and this is my young teen years.
Get a grip.
@@orbitalbutt6757 comment from seven months ago.. telling me get a grip??? Get a life bro. You really have a lot of time on your hands. And yes where I'm FROM it got HOT in the late 90s numb nuts. Stfu with your technicalities and your keyboard junkie crap. Lmao 🤣 👍👋🗑️
It was really hard to find this in Chile, it's been a long since the last time I heard this song.
I know a guy that played keyboard for them for a tour and he said they were the nicest guys. Also that their fanbase is an unwavering force. I can see why - I’m still a fan after all these years.

Man, this takes me back to middle school. Back when Fuse was cool and instagram wasn't a thing. R.I.P. simpler, better times.
