I'm 49, been riding brakes 45½ years, if it ain't broke, DON'T FIX IT! And i still do ride, got a 2023 Darkwave, 2022 Kink Whip XL, & a full custom 2020 Sunday EX, no old school carpet queens in my house! 😆 I ride about 60psi, & the best brake combo is TSC Sano V2 brake, & Colony Bretheren Lever, with Odyssey clear pads, & a JagWire linear cable
Can you do sent one of give away for your subscribers like me lol on here or Instagram? Great seeing you back BTW. Keep posting as much as possible please!
Good video. Like the info and tricks. Question: I’m 5’-11” and 200lbs and looking into a decent street bike. I’m looking at a top tube length of 21”. Is this decent for street?
Hey hey hey. Brakes in these streets forever. How the hell else am i supposed to be able to abubaca literally everything? Stairs trees a few ledges with that bump jump swag.
I always thought it was my old homie Darin Read who started it for the same reasons 😂. He always broke his brakes and sucked at making repairs to his bikes, so it was just easier for him to say the hell with them.
@@benreading3332 actually in bmx things function differently brake wise. In theory which ever hand you throw a barspin with you want the rear brake on the opposite side as that
Yeah the white one is my style. Cream would be better though. And I always just thought it was too be able to do spinning sht and not have to use a gyro. Because gyros are gross asf lol. That being said, they need to come up with a cableless digital break system already. Like they did for dropper post on a MTB. That would be sick to have breaks but no need to cables or gyros. Digital signal to the breaks from a remote on the bar.

It’s all about age, under 12 use breaks. 13-16 no break will teach you some skills. 16-22 try combos of front, rear, rotors, direct drive. 22-40 get good at your system. Over 50 you have to run at least a rear brake. Don’t be a dumb ass
Just hook up that little kid you see either with some clapped out shity bike or the kid that is at the park wishin to God he had a bike. If you do that Alf it will most likely make your week or even month home.

That white bike is tooooo clean
What's wrong with the black one🧐
Nice to see you again Alfredo! You were always a cool dude since years 💪🏽
Awesome shades! I went from back brake to front brake then to brakeless and loving all the different tricks both allow.
Love to hear people trying all the different setups
I started riding freestyle before the Potts bolt when we all still rode normal MX1000 front brakes and threaded Skyway pegs. Went brakeless in 2001.
damn, thats awesome!!
@@AlfredoMancuso Honestly got used to brakeless riding a fixed gear bike. Once you get used to looking ahead for lines you're fine.
Im from the era where your Alex triple walls never failed to blow your tire out on the slightest tag 😂. Brakes for me w/gyro 💯
That white Subrosa is goddamn beautiful 🫣😍
nice builds .... what do you think of those vultus adj forks?
Those are sick as well!! They’re sick for options!

Its decent for your height street or dirt doesnt matter.

Lmao those are my feelz
Great vid! w/ the s/o to Edwin! Legend for sure.
Yess the goat for sure!
And thank you!
Troy Mcmurry started the brakeless trend cause diacompe ad990s were a pain
Hahaha yes for sure, but Edwin was a next level trendsetter

I’m a late starter in BMX and brakeless but am def considering adding a brake, not sure on front or rear though!
Keep up the good work 👊🇬🇧
Front has its benefits for fun but ao does rear. Sometimes when in doubt add both till you decide.
Thanks man! Means a lot!
@@bmxriderforlife1234 yes good shout, I’ll also make sure I put them on correctly I.e right lever for front and left for rear 😉
back brake is more practical, but front brake if you like nose picks haha
@@benreading3332 actually in bmx things function differently brake wise. In theory which ever hand you throw a barspin with you want the rear brake on the opposite side as that
*If u ever get sick of that white subrosa, please DO “holla attcha boy”…cause I, uh…yeah, I want that thing 🤘😝
Yeah awesome Alf 🤘 i have always run at least rear brakes. Keep on rocking BMX brother
appreciate you Adam!
Nice! Hey what kinda pegs do you use? Which do you recommend for someone who's 200lbs?
Man I haven’t hit that park in years. Gonna have to go trick the tall quarter!
Lmk when you go next!! @alfredomancuso on IG 👊🏻👊🏻
What happened to the parts giveaway on Instagram ??
Great video bro!:)
Yes Alfred my dude 🙌🏼👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼🚲⚡🌞🌟great to see you back mate 👌🏼hope you and yours are doing well my friend 🍻😁😎
Thanks Keith, right back to you and yours!
Brakeless is for people too lazy to install or maintain a gyro.
Facts 💯
I just like the feel of the bars. I don’t like brake levers getting in the way. Respect to the brake riders tho y’all are sick.
Damn right ,and also don’t like levers in front of my knuckles
Damn right ✅️
Not even the gyro. Every time I get my brakes working right something else brakes on them. Headaches vs riding time
If you are going to run one brake: front or rear?
Having Monophobia in the background has me way too distracted 😂
Hahaha if that song doesn’t get you hyped, nothing will. You’re right though, might cause people to leave the video to go hit a rave 😂
The only breaks I need is a KitKat bar 😂😢😅🙏👍🎶
Only us Brits will understand this joke ha ha. Remember the camera shy, roller skating panda bears?
👍
Got the park frame set up for street and the street frame set up for park
Not full time haha
Great video 💚
*Also, I’ve been brakeless since my 1st Dyno Compe back in the early 90s.
the white bike is soooooo clean
I’m brand new to this I didn’t know you can spin bike/handle bars all the way around with brakes 😅😂
Hey Alfredo are you not going to have phu in the videos anymore since you moved?
It’s still winter man. You think it’s hot now July will kick your ass. I myself love the tropical heat. South Florida is the best.
I’m surprised the brake isn’t on the white bike and that the other bike isn’t brakeless.
Hahaha yea that’s exactly what I thought too
Other thing why i use breaks so i dont use my shoes as breaks

I MEMBER NOT HAVING BREAKS IN THE 90S' THE MIDDLE OF MY AIRWALKS LOOKED LIKE SOAPS PERFECT TIRE WIDTH, ENDED RIPPING MY SOCK APART MELTTED MY FOOT LOL
Hahaha that’s a good point
I also didn’t have brakes in the 90’s on a Dyno GT. Not sure why some comment as if it’s a new thing.
I need brake recommendations!!
Brakeless on vert is crazy.
I've always been breaks person
Same 🥹👊🏻
I ride 3 pegs because my heel hits on my back foot. I never used that one anyway.
I feel the same way, but then when I take it off I get fomo lol
I used to ride mountain long ago front and back brakes. Now on BMX just rears cus of traffic.
I need brakes, I make too many mistakes in life 😅
I am brakeless on my chillen bikes, single/right handed rear brake if I’m doing anything stupid on the bike.

he used a street signature frame for a park setup and a park signature frame for a street setup wtf 😂
I did preface the video with that fact 😭

Troy McMurray I believe itz ...actually THA GONZ I'm told
True!
Why did people go brakeless? Troy McMurray.
Point of contention
Cuídate! 🪖 😅
Mommmmm!
In my city your bike needs brakes so yeah no choice.
Let me get that old bike
$1.99
Let me borrow the gyro
Got you

Bad audio
I've always had the opinion that brakeless is a more fun and raw experience. Never been about maintenance...
it was butcher for me personally
Brakes belong on a mountain bike end of discussion
Solely on mountain bikes? How about e-bikes 🫣
@@AlfredoMancuso nope those aren’t bikes
I’m being a brakeless dick anus if you can’t tell. I did go brakeless on a S1KRR for a few months one time tho. Wild on a liter bike for sure haha
It's about rotating mass...not wind lol
It’s a combination, brody
