    Great stuff again, that fish take at 21:31 tells us a lot from the fish behavior and other potential fly rigs approach.
    Thank you for sharing, tons of info to only be watched once🙂

    Nice to have a look at how you guys do it, thank you Robert. So far the fishing salt has evaded me. I was wondering if in fact those were ocean run Brown Trout. I am familiar with them, as they come in from the ocean through Manasquan bay and then into the Manasquan River. Some very big fish. OK stay tight.

    • @FlyFishingbyRobert
      @FlyFishingbyRobert  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are right. In America they are called sea run brown trout. Scientific name is salmo trutta.

    awesome- if that kind of fishing was available in the US, it would be shoulder-to-shoulder combat fishing.

      It is not very easy. Most days are a challenge to win the zero game.

    Great video once again Robert. 6 fish and BIG fish, well done!
    May i ask in your opinion what is the best state of the tide do you find most productive. Coming in, out, what please??
    Keep up the great videos.
    Cheers, Ewan.

      I haven't fished many times in true tidal water. We have almost no tide around Gotland where I live. That means fishing can be good any time in the day.

      Thanks. Somewhat stable 😅 I'm scared most of the time if it ain't calm like this.

    Really nice vid. Cant wait to start the 2021 season! How do you attach your Opro rod holder? My backpack does not have any straps. I would guess that you are just using the clips. Any suggestions for a totally flat backpack?

    • @FlyFishingbyRobert
      @FlyFishingbyRobert  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can also use any gopro mount. For example the ”Adhesive Mounts”

    Great video :)...nice to see the joy. What kind of thermometer would you recommend?

    • @FlyFishingbyRobert
      @FlyFishingbyRobert  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. A normal home thermometer with a cable to put outside the window is pretty handy to use. Just throw the cable in the water and look at the display after 1 minute. If you want to have very accurate results and something that ain't so expensive.

    A little closer look says maybe rainbows??

    • @FlyFishingbyRobert
      @FlyFishingbyRobert  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Brown trout (in the video) can be quite similar to Rainbow trout sometimes and we catch them now and then. A good way to see that it is a rainbow is that they have a tail fin covered by spots.

    • @lethuliv5500
      @lethuliv5500 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Steelhead is Oncorhynchus mykiss right? This is Salmo trutta, regular trout that lives in the ocean.

    maybe you can tie some flies with weedguard for these conditions? :D

    • @FlyFishingbyRobert
      @FlyFishingbyRobert  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The hookbend is not the biggest issue when there is stuff drifting around so protecting that doesn't really help me 😒😇 it is collected on the line and sliding down in front of the flies.
