Fred Mils from another channel, basically composed a juvenile, nasty, hateful hit piece on this project, so thank you very much for creating a more balanced and honest video, no matter how well it goes, time it takes and materialises. At least you just presented the facts and in a positive sense too, because that's what is mature and expected in a fair and balanced report about anything. Many of us were starting to think that British people just simply love to put down and demean everything and anything about Greeks and Greece, but you have proven otherwise. As someone involved in architecture and developments I am going to recommend you to everyone I know and hope your channel grows and succeeds. All the best!

Athens as a whole will be upgraded. That's what it's about. There are not many cities on earth that
    1. is at the sea with a wonderful coastline
    2. has mountains surrounding it
    3. has the closest national park of Europe to it
    4. has the ability to be within 1 hour to atleast 10 incredible islands, like Hydra, Spetses from one island chain as an example, or to some of the closer laying Cycladic islands to Athens like Syros. A truly incredible thing
So. For Athens to have its incredible coastline area to be further upgraded with one of the largest urban parks on earth is a big big plus
And not just that. Athens left and right receives upgrades. It's a changing city. Im sure Hellinikon project will only ben an incentive for more great projects of the future to come

As a Greek citizen I am very proud of this project. However our experience from Thessaloniki Metro that is still pending after almost 15 years now and the very dangerous road Patras-Pyrgos that we lost so many people there from traffic accidents and decided to start the previous year, I will be very amazed if this project will be finished in 2028.
In any case good luck to this project.

@@dionysisapostolopoulos8552 You miss some important details, like Greeks often do. Somehow they have a habit of being extremely nit picky about what being educated means. Sorry. But it's true. HOW in the world would a Greek not just realise there were 300.000 archaeological historical artifacts found and whole sections of ancient city which the workers came across, which strongly delayed the project? And yes the project has been in production for 10 years when we talk about actual production.
But the problem is also a blessing. The archaeological institutes in Greece and archaeology by itself is strongly anchored within law. So even a billion dollar project can be slowed by this. Also. Then to do with things in court regarding the archaeology is really another time consuming part.
and lastly. Have you seen how many tunnel and highway projects have been completed in Greece? There are 2000 tunnels in Greece going through mountains and what not. The problem is not cutting through stone. It was the Archaeology and then dealing with this that was the slow part.
I think the projects above ground (mostly) at Hellinikon will be much easier in regards to these elements.
Next time. Like I would tell every Greek. Before you say something, just educate yourself by researching extremely easy to find answers. Even a child of 4 can do it and you didn.t And no. You didn't or else you would have either expressed this already, either in your main comment or in your follow up reply.

Will they at least plant a huge green park as well??? As is Athens wouldn't have more than enough buildings and empty flats that could offer space for living. What is missing are parks!!! How amazing would be a huge green lung next to the sea? Instead they build more streets and asphalt. Also tourists love mature and do not come to Greece to go shopping. For me it's a huge failure and proof that the main motivation is again money.

Sooo they build a playground for foreign millionaires that looks like any other modern city, full of skyscrapers, steel, glass, etc ruining the panorama of a culturally rich city. I think it's great that it's smart and they make parks, but why not build max 90 m tall and Greek style, traditional design? Oh yeah, Dubai-man gives the money, so they need the world to be Dubaiized, so they can buy all of these luxury apartments and villas and congratulate each other in the casinos, while Greek people and turists interested in Greek culture can watch history disappear.

Το έργο κατασκευάζεται κυρίως μέσω της Lamda, και άλλων εταιριών που έχουν αναλάβει επιμέρους έργα (π.χ. Hard Rock- ΓΕΚ ΤΕΡΝΑ).
