All great catches, but men, that smallie, it looked amazing, and that last one, wow, what a bruiser, that was another master ultra light fishing class my fellow angler friend, really ejoyed it.
You’re just on time for me to tell you I got my gear.. and I love all of it! Wish I got a few more of those little magnetic boxes. Going out in a week or two, next weekend if I get lucky. Gonna try to catch something photo-worthy, so I can send to you 👍🏻
I can't believe you were able to catch that 15lb behemoth on ultralight gear! I have never caught anything that big before on any gear! Great video as always, Victor!
10 alcohol wipes later.. I am used to that. Otherwise my wife and my kids hate me when i get home and put the boat in the garage and stink up the whole garage
Apologies if i've missed it with the search feature, but do you happen to have a technique video on how you do twitching? How you find the fish in the water column, how you maintain the lure there, and figure out what type of retrieve the fish want?
I don't have such a video. I'm not sure I have a firm opinion. You can watch my videos but every day i probably am in a different mood, doing different things.. Do u know who Tom Woods is?
I love that Yamaga Blanks. What reel was that on it?. BTW I was planning a new Vanford, but I will follow your advice and wait until summer as I won't be using it till then.
@@DCKubrin its a 15 year old carp net i bought from UK. U have to find an european fishing twckle store and type match net. They use these in match fishing. Brand is grays but i doubt u will find this one. But there is others
Hello I love all your Videos and have been watching a lot of your reel reviews and i was wondering if u have tried the shimano Nexave? In my opinion it feels smoother than the legalis but im not sure how it compares inside wise. It’s only 50 dollars and I love it. Just wondering ur thoughts on it if u tried it
@ifishcatfish ofcourse not snagged. Mostly they took it from the ground. Also caught a lot of big tench in spring time when they swim arround more aggressive. Snagged fish is no real catch in my opinion.
@@philipp2792 snagged is not a catch, because u didn't catch it, but landing a snagged fish on ultralight is probably the biggest challenge for an ultralight angler. My longerst fight ever was with a snagged 7 lb buffalo, because it always swims away. This big bruiser was much easier to land because when you are pulling his face u are turning him around and its hard to swim backwards
@@ifishcatfish yeah totally right but i dont count it. Even to snagg with ul is not easy but thats why i use ul for winter fishing. Now the fish here are staying in their winter spots and are barely moving. Thats why theyre easy to snagg but not really with slow fishing on ul setup. My favorite line for now is the avani saltwater finesse in 0.2pe pared with a 0.16fc leader.
Personally I'd love to have some of the smaller variety of gar in some of my bigger ponds/smaller lakes. 1. I think gar are just some of the coolest fish 2. I don't see a managed hand full causing any major problems as long as I keep the forage species up, which honestly isn't terribly hard 3. They act tase pretty good and aren't super hard to prepare once you understand how, 4 ....well if they do get a bit outta control gives me an excuse to do some bow fishing 🤣
Love your videos!
its a small club..: )

Ha! Bruiser! Usually people just say that but that last one WAS a bruiser!
Nice buffalo on the ultra light
nice catch!!
getting closer!

If its in the mouth its no problem. If u snag them.. then its a pita
I caught a 13lb large mouth on 4lb trilene on ultra light .
@@krsone1585 On video?
@@ifishcatfish No...this was in 92
TN river is crazy in the winter.. Its like a different sport..
Nice video on the ultralight.... awesome 🎣 fish on
Fine catches and fine video. Subscribed
Great video. Some really big fish. Hope you got the boat cleaned up.

Beautiful Buffalo!
So Fun!
Nice smallmouth...love the Carp on the UL...I used to catch them with the UL for fun.
Nice fish my friend. Thanks for sharing your adventures . Stay safe and connected from your new subscriber! 👍

Very very nice catches bro
Nice bass first catch! Will have to pick up that bait.
caught anything BUT trout on it so far!

that was the old Vanquish (2019)
Hello, nice video. Please, what model of yamaga is it and what size is the Vanquish? Thank you.
search my channel for Yamaga Blanks. I have a review of the rod, u can see the model and a close up video.
this is the old Vanquish, size 2500
This reel has the smoothest drag I have ever seen.
Shimano Cardiff
Absolutely Massive!!goodfights every one!
finally i_fish catching something larger ! : )
Gar is one of the most amazing fish
Well.. if u have where to put them, i can bring u some : )
Seems like a smooth drag
i already threw in the river all reels that werent smooth
May I ask the brand and model of your landing net? I don’t think I’ve seen these around

Its not worth it. Just buy the sahara. Better gears, more bearings, better frame. Just $10 difference
I snagged a carp while drop shotting for smallmouth this past summer, hooked in the same spot as that buffalo
must have thought u got a state record.. : )
Nice carp. Caught mirror carp on a 4lb setup up to 25pd with a skinny kick or hazedong shad specially in the winter.
in the mouth?

@@philipp2792 the good thing is, the only fish that I seem to snag is buffalo and shad. I have never snagged a good fish.
Lol catfish dave caught a stray
i didn't get this but glad to see someone got the reference
Can you do like a 3rd person view for the camera. Would like to see the bend of those rods.
I think between the review and this video you can see enough to tell the action of the rod
Was the 2nd reel a vanquish?
yes, the 2019 though

5. They LOVE swimming away with JDM jigs in their mouth.
I'd be catching the gar lol
if u have the right gear they can be fun, i guess. With my kit they just swim away with my jigs
