Is there any usage of application servers in production level since containerized solutions like docker has come in to play? Can you explain what is the benefit?

@@GeethaGP-ni7sx the Java version on your system doesn't matter because Websphere brings in its own IBM JDK. I'm not sure what else the issue might be. I have been working with migrations for Application from WAS 8.5.5 to WAS 9 Liberty Server.so what are technologies versions I need mean right now project is in Java6 we use Struts and Ant so i need to upgrade these technologies ? if yes then please suggest me the technologies and versions supported by WAS 9.0 Liberty
Hello Milind! I'm afraid, I am not sure about these things. The documentation and migration guides of these applications should help you. If that too doesn't help, then forums like StackOverflow, etc are your best bet.

Hey, how to uninstall this. in websphere I don't get the option to stop/terminate the running appserver, because of which I am unable to uninstall
You may stop the Server from Windows Services (services.msc). You can even find stopServer.bat inside the bin folder of the websphere profile.

It happens sometimes. Please retry after an hour or two.
min 16.32 - I get an error Failed to connect repository, why?
That happens sometime due to IBM Servers being down/unable to bear load. You may retry after an hour or two.

This happens sometime. The IBM Server repository goes down intermittently. Did you try to retry after some time?

Hey! I haven't tried installing this on Linux. But the only thing I can think of is: Are you running the installer as a "root" user?
