    Did a better job of explaining our project's architecture than my project lead.

    I like this and need to know more about cluster members

    Great video for beginners
    Thanks for clear explanation

    Great !. Thanks for explaining. I need one clarification. The node agent on PROFILE3 is shown as a part of Server (S5), whereas for another profile i.e. PROFILE2, the node agent is shown outside the server. So I am a bit confused about the exact location of "Node Agent".

    Hi, TH-cam experts, when you were doing Java(WebSphere) development, did you ever meet Dos(Slowloris) 150079 Slow HTTP headers vulnerability? If yes, how did you fix it?

    Can you please explain why the node agent in profile 3 is hosted on Application server 5(jvm)?

    • @kaleemakram
      @kaleemakram 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      its not hosted on JVM, he just missed drawing another box around it.

    Are the applications A1 and A2 in the two servers the same two applications, maybe with some kind of failover? Or are they a separate pair of applications in each server?

    I am new to the WAS stuff, thanks for the great video. one question though, on VM 2, why node agent sit inside server 6 instead of node 3, just like node agent sit inside node 2?

      I know I'm a bit late, but I'm quite sure it should stay outside, like in node 2.

    basically a load of meaningless jargon. its just a flipping server that stores ans hosts files. some of these files are executable can run on the server but input and output data onto remote machines which are connected to this server. in the older days this was done on a LAN but with faster internet speeds, wifi, and faster computers it has been possible to do this on a wider scale to the point where it can be done via a web beowser over the internet rather than on a smaller private network. Im sure microsoft, apple, IBM, SUN, google, etc all have their own jargon for what they call everything but thats not important

    Does this same architecture applicable for Websphere Liberty Profile ?

    It is an amazing video and was quite helpful. However, I have a query. The structure of Profile 1 in cell had two servers and applications. Then later you mentioned that on the same profile there is a Deployment Manager too. My question is, how can the profile having applications belong to Deployment Manager ? As much as I know a Deployment Manager profile does not have applications installed on it.
    Please clarify and correct me if I am wrong.

      Atul, I think you are correct. Page 12 of WAS Administration says (www.redbooks.ibm.com/redbooks/pdfs/sg248056.pdf), "The profile defines the application server, node, and cell." I drew it backwards--as if the cell defines the profile, whereas the file structure shows the correct layout (e.g., /opt/IBM/WebSphere/AppServer/profiles/DMProfile/cells/CoreCell/applications/cfm_solution_ear.ear). On page 60, you see the 4 things that a default deployment manager profile creates, where the fourth one is "No application servers."
