I'm a 62 yr old American grandma and when this magical scene played out I burst into tears. This. Was. Perfect. I literally cried out startling my 2 cats, "Oh! He's here! This is the best!" And it really was.
FINALLY: a love story that delivers a charming exploration into two people discovering each other through hard work, humor, service, and sacrifice. No standing-up-aggressive sex 5 minutes after meeting a total stranger and then asking what their name is the next morning as they sneak out! A chaste, sweet, beautifully sensitive and selfless relationship that extended as genuine love and respect for several circles of good friends. Who could use a really good friend? Captain Ri's troop are a riot and their characters a total treat. It was so satisfying to see their little boy antics drop instantly when their "elite forces" training kicked in for some impressive Korean bare-handed combat.

I’ve been a Hyun Bin fan since The Secret Garden, but this is the first time I’ve noticed how INSANE the chemistry is between him and his female lead. I just love them together so much! 😭 The writers truly know what they’re doing here and everything down to the epilogues tie in so beautifully! From the script, to the OST, to Hyun Bin’s stare & Son Ye Jin’s longing. Even the way he walks & her teary eyed facial expression filmed beautifully in the snow! Everything in this scene is on point. I can’t remember how many times I’ve replayed this while trying to convince myself that I’m only watching a DRAMA and these two are just FRIENDS. But their chemistry is undeniably palpable that it’s so hard not to freakin HOPE that someday they will announce their RELATIONSHIP. I think I need to wake up guys. Otokhae! 😂😂

This is my favorite K-drama hands down. The chemistry between these two throughout the whole drama was real, enduring, emotional, beautiful and more. We didnt get a season 2 but in reality they gave us the suprise happy ending 🥹 It brings me so much joy that their love was real. They got married and now have a beautiful child.
