    First of all: well done! It's an incredible work and you have inspired me to do it in a similar way.
    One thing I have to mention is, that the uo2stream-module doesn't work with the isolated converter (the wifi module wasn't found in the hotspot register of my smart phone until I soldered it directly to the step down converter. Similar experiences I had to learn to know a few months ago when I built not a combined BT/wifi-box but only a wifi-box!). To prevent ground noise using the bluetooth module this one had to be soldered to the isolated converter once again.
    The second I found out was that the sound of the up2stream- module was very very scratchy and of low volume until I soldered the output signal not to the bluetooth module but directly to the amplifier.
    Now it works perfectly and I want to thank you for your youtube work. Otherwise I never would have dared to do works like that!!!
    Greets from Germany,
    Frank

    Sorry for my English.
    I want to build a stereo sound bar, I will not use some of the boards of this project, wifi, batteries, bms...
    1 would this amplifier work for me?
    2 to make it stereo, wouldn't I have to solder the resistors to the bluetooth board?
    3 I would have to make divisions between the speakers? so that it would be heard in stereo
    thank you very much and congratulations for your videos

    • @DonnyTerek
      @DonnyTerek  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! My apologies for a late reply. Yes, this amplifier would work just fine for a soundbar. No resistors are necessary to play stereo. Yes, divisions or separated enclosures are necessary to have audible stereo separation. Hope this helps and best luck on your build.

    I have few improvements:
    1) DC converters stepdown + isolated (position 15 + 16) , could be replaced with isolated DC-DC converter 12/5V only (it have input voltage tolerance 10-14V)
    2) Volume potentiometer should have shielded wires, primarly in cases when legth exceeds 5cm (0,016ft)
    3) Crossovers - do not use electrolytic capacitors (all types) - distortions and decreasing capacity, Use foil MKP or MKT type. Do not use Coil on ferrite - use air coil. Correctly crossover should be calculated for specific speakers - universal board do more mess than bless ;-)
    4) For charging bateries Li-Ion protection board should be here for current and voltage control. Balanceur is not enough - there is risk of explosion.
    5) on YDA138 module (end amplifier) change input electrolytic capacitors for MKP/MKT foil - you'll get cleaner high frequencies + will ged rid of same problems like in part 3
    6) I don't understand power wires on jack connector (position 13)
    If you will try this improvements in next piece of this interesting box, you will be surprised. ;-)

    VERY NICE! It's a Yamaha Amp which happens to be a great chip.
    What is the reason for the two resisters soldered on the Bluetooth?
    How long do you get using the 3 cells pack at a good volume? I know them Panasonic batteries are expensive, but they put out 3400mAh correct?
    Instead of using a smps buck converter have you considered a 7805 linear? I know they're less efficient, but they're a cleaner source for that Hi-Fi WiFi board, is it because the amp is only a Class D and not a Class A or A/B?

    • @DonnyTerek
      @DonnyTerek  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! It is truly a great amp for small speakers.
      The reason for using two resistors is to combine the two channels in to one mono channel.
      I usually get around 8 hours of playtime using these cells. Yes, they put out 3400mAh and the ones that I use are actually fake Panasonic cells but they are great batteries, with a capacity of more than 3400mAh sometimes.
      I should look into using 7805 converters!

      @@DonnyTerek You're welcome, is it necessary to use the isolation chip or will it fry the DC to DC Converter? You work with the TP4056, you can wire the outputs in parallel as many as yo have the power for using one power source, but as soon as you wire the outputs in a series they fry using the same power source unless you use this chip you use, but you will only charge at 200mAh or you can use separate phone chargers and achieve one amp not using these isolation chips

      "Bass" speaker specsl
      Impedance: 4ohm
      Frequency range: 60HZ-20KHZ
      so it is not 6 ohms? The frequency range is absurd - did you measure the frequency response? No need for a tweeter if the stated frequency is true.

      Unbranded/Generic

    • @DonnyTerek

      Since there is no separation between the woofers, a stereo signal would not work that great in such enclosure. Therefore it is needed to convert the stereo signal to mono. After all, stereo is not that noticeable from a speaker of this size.

      You can try experiencing the sound test which I have included at the end of the video, but it is far from the real sound. It does have bass but not overwhelming.

    Hello, nice work thanks for the video and information. Where did you put the ground loop isolator between amplifiers and speakers ?

  • @dozyproductionss

    What's the difference between the ground loop isolator and the isolated converter? Can they be used interchangeably?

    • @DonnyTerek
      @DonnyTerek  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! The ground loop isolator is used to eliminate the ground loop noise of the audio signal, while the isolated converter is used to filter the noise from the power supply.

      @@DonnyTerek thank you. My project will just have aux and Bluetooth. Would I still need the isolated converter and gli or, does that question depend on how everything is wired?

    • @DonnyTerek
      @DonnyTerek  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It depends on whether your amplifier will have an integrated Bluetooth module, you might need to try playing with the isolated converters to see if you need them.

      @@DonnyTerek Thank you. It's going to have a separate board for bluetooth. Also, don't know about a gli. In my country, a lot of things are sourced from aliexpress, which perhaps isn't the most trustworthy for quality parts ;D Thanks for the responses btw. Really hope I can show you the final project of which you're essentially helping to make. Thank you
